Awesome teacher! Made the statistics class really easy. Material and tests are extremely fair. You will learn a lot from her! Plus, she's really fun and interesting to listen to.

Hawken is my absolute favorite at Pepperdine because out of all the professors, she attempts to help students in a variety of ways from class, to internships, to employment. While I will admit that she isn't the easiest to get ahold of, and often appears frazzled and way too busy, her heart is to teach. Take her class when you get a chance.

Of all the professors at Pepperdine, I was most impressed with Hawken.Not only is she kind and helpful, but very intelligent.Having experience in statistical programs and research methods prior to the class, the subject matter is often difficult to understand & teach (especially in large classes).I learned a great deal and truly enjoyed the class.

Sweet woman, but scattered to the four winds. As a student who scored somewhere in the 46th percentile on GRE math, know that quantitative rigour will not kill you in this class. Most of the math is done for you on a computer program. Class is usually adrift, however, with no clear direction. The saving grace is extremely merciful grading.

This is most unfocuses, unclear class I have ever taken. Hawken is all over the map, unavailable, and you have no idea what to expect from her or from the course. Avoid it at all cost

She is very flighty and jumps from one thing onto another. Also very unclear on assignments and unorganized. She is not very good teacher material. She is better off working for the UN or saving the world with data.
