Oga runs a class that is unlike a typical university class. Rather than lecturing, he teaches through exercise and experience as he teaches students how to learn, and then lets them work on their own. The only negative thing about him is that he has been teaching for so long there are sometimes discrepancies between his syllabi and what he says.

Oga is a good professor. If you put in the effort then he will put in the effort as well. Stay on his good side by actually trying and caring about what you are learning about. All in all he is a good professor who cares about his students.

Very bad experience with this class. The teacher is very experienced, however doesn't seem to realize that being a professor means the students first, not his ego first. His syllabus online about his class is completely different than the class itself.

I actually like his class. It was my favorite one this past semester. It's not a extremely hard class if you put in the work. He always answered my email and would give constructive feedback if I asked for it. I'd definitely take one of his classes again.

One of the most mind-opening teachers I've ever had. From Brooklyn to Africa to Europe to Richmond, Chuck brings a lifetime of world experience to the classroom and really turns you on to becoming involved in the community. His ideas of using theater as a tool for community outreach are the best theater programs I've ever heard of. He will certainly be an asset to the UR community and the Greater Richmond community in general.
