Only take him if you are expecting a majors courses to be a majors course and nothing less. He is mostly no nonsense and will teach his way, although he will slow down and explain really well.

Mr. Cole was a pretty laid back teacher. He presents material in an easy to understand manner, works out every type of problem that could be on the test step by step and keeps the class engaged. It's not the easiest class in the world but if you attend class and study hard it's not too hard to do well.

Terrible! I do not recommend this teacher at all. His lectures are beyond disorganized, unprepared, and, confusing. He uses those useless ppt-s that come with the textbook, which again contributes to his chaotic way of lecturing. His exams always included problems we never went over in class and were not discussed in the textbook.

He is an extremely difficult teacher. I did not miss one class and still got a 79% and no he did not round to a B! He never reviewed for the test. He did not give partial credit on two test when all it was was math and half the class failed! Labs were pretty easy and fun though. If you want a challenge take him!

Cole is a pretty good teacher, so I'm going to be taking him again for Chm 112. His tests are not easy, but he's more than willing to answer questions you might have. He works through problems extensively during class. He kept to his schedule perfectly, and was very consistent about his expectations for assignments.

Mr. cole is a very nice person, but not the greatest teacher I've had. His test were really hard, most of the class failed them even if we all studied. He had several test that would only be 5 or 6 questions which mad it really hard. Over half our class dropped

Pretty smart teacher, tests were semi- hard, but i did not learn a single thing. He is very unorganized and skips a lot of important concepts. I honestly would have learned more if i read the book myself. He is nice, and tries to be funny, but when over half a class drops, there is a problem.

Cole has definitely been one of the better teachers I've had. You really need to attend class every day. It moves at a really fast pace and it's easy to get behind. Though, he offers office hours if you need more help with something and responds to emails quickly.

Tests are extremely hard! I studied hard for the tests and still failed. The one test we got to have a note card of notes on (we had a sub teacher) I got an F. Don't know where the questions came from! very disorganized when it came to reading the book. I thought I would love chemistry until this class.

Cole is really smart, and is a great instructor... but not a great teacher. I used to love science, until this class; it really made me look into other career paths...

Mr. Cole is very intelligent but does not always relay his intelligence in lamens terms. He does NOT believe in study guides for tests or finals! You must attend class and take good notes and study the book on your own to get a good grade in his class. I am a A student and got a C in the class!

He is an awesome person who really knows his stuff. I took him as a block class (8 wk course instead of normal 16) -IT WAS HARD!!! I do not recommend unless you really know chemistry. He always offers to help, his tests are hard, you gotta really pay attention and study. I ended up dropping 2 wks before the class ended

Chris Cole did not forshadow the class in an organized manner. He set the stage for an uninspiring atmosphere. Meaning he did not inspire me to continue with chemistry, science for that matter! His appearance was sloppy, and his class was harder than it was worth, meaning he offered no after class help for asking questions and tutoring.

Chm is hard, but I don't recommed him unless you are really good in chm. His test are very hard. The test don't always have what was went over in class, I have yet to figure out where he came up with some of the questions. His lab's were easy enough, but he has a bad attitude about helping you in lab well, helping you at all.

CHM-111 was 10x harder than 101, but I really liked it. Chris is a good teacher, who loves Chemistry but the pace is a little fast, so do all your homework right away and you'll be able to keep up. He's a young teacher who trys to be funny, it doesn't always work though. Overall, it was a good class, but I don't think I'm cut out to be a Chem major.

Chris is a cool guy and a good teacher. He is a lot more strict in his teaching methods than you would expect from someone that young. You do have to work hard to get a good grade in his class, but I enjoyed having him for a professor.

Chris was excellent. He didnt nit-pick over your labs (J. Ratcliff could cost you many valuable points in lab!), was helpful with the math, gave lab final review and allowed us to use notes during the lab final. There's no extra credit in CHM Lab 111, but he made up for it with his helpfullness and laid back attitude. Chris was great.

Chris has a bad rap for having a big ego at OTC. He is actually a great lab instructor and he knows his stuff. He was always helpfull and down to earth. Chris made the class fun and if you show interest he does appreciate you more as a student. GREAT INSTRUCTOR!!!

This was my favorite class at the begginng and then half way through, his real attitude came through. He didn't care if the students knew the information, and wasn't good with helping students understand.
