CHEM 120 Taken for Credit:N/A Attendance: Not Mandatory Textbook Use: You need it sometimes Rater Interest: It's my life Grade Received: P

Showed no compassion to helping with my learning. Gave a terribly hard time to the students who were struggling with the class. If it is not a mandatory class I would recommend you find another prof!! Taking this class is definitely not worth the effort. Just take the chem100 course & get a good mark with a prof who actually enjoys teaching.

CHEM120 Taken for Credit:N/A Attendance: Mandatory Textbook Use: It's a must have Rater Interest: It's my life Grade Received: A-

At first I sturggled with the class but as soon as I went to him for help everything was clear. SUCH a great prof. Always has his door open, I don't think I ever went during his office hours but he was always there with the textbook to help. Make sure to do the practice problems and ask for help when you need it and he'll do pretty much anything

Chem 120 Taken for Credit:N/A Attendance: N/A Textbook Use: It's a must have Rater Interest: Really into it Grade Received: N/A

Very difficult course, I had every intention of majoring in Chemistry before I took this class, now I hate it. But Dieter himself is a great person, always available to help his students, very helpful in his office hours. All the notes are posted online. Exams are very hard! You have to put in a real effort to do well in his class!

Klappy is the man! Always in his office for help. Follow his one hour rule. His exams are tough and you have to know your stuff to do well on them. Gonna miss this guy as I head off into the abyss of engineering.

CHEM120 Taken for Credit:N/A Attendance: N/A Textbook Use: Essential to passing Rater Interest: Really into it Grade Received: N/A

MY FAVOURITE PROF THIS YEAR. He really knows what he's teaching and obviously enjoys it. His humour is great during class and he's awesome with extra help. I could tell he truly wanted me to succeed in the course and was as happy as I was when I did! Go over some high school chemistry notes, read the chapters and you'll do great! :)

CHEM120 Taken for Credit:N/A Attendance: N/A Textbook Use: Barely cracked it open Rater Interest: It's my life Grade Received: N/A

He is a great prof, with a surprising sense of dead-pan humour. He is great in extra help, which you will generally need to do for the weekly assignments. His test can have tricks in them, things which you need time to consider. Knowing the material well is the best way to get through. He is definitely the best way to learn Chem first year.

Klapstein is a great 'coach' and person and probably the best the engineers get. His weekly assignments are 3-4 questions but they usually have one question that is impossible to do without seeing him. His midterms vary in difficultly depending on the class; they can be very hard. His finals are difficult. Sometimes dull material but great prof.

very fair prof, if you listen in class and study you should have no trouble on the exams. weekly assignments help grades. he is pretty dull and makes lame jokes but overall he is okay

he was an okay prof, i don't recommend asking questions in class cuz he'll probably just make you feel stupid. never really went for help but he didn't seem too bad in that department.
