HIST 100 Taken for Credit:N/A Attendance: N/A Textbook Use: N/A Rater Interest: Really into it Grade Received: N/A

This guy knows his stuff. He makes the class interesting and fun, and he will tighten up your writing. He's a very nice guy and always willing to help. He's a fairly lenient grader as well. Take any of classes if you get a chance.

HIST 100 Taken for Credit:N/A Attendance: N/A Textbook Use: N/A Rater Interest: It's my life Grade Received: N/A

Varney is great. I don't know if he's still teaching at Cornell, but do everything you can take a writing seminar (or anything) with him. He's fantastic, genuinely cares about you writing and progress as a student, and values class discussion. Do yourself a favor and take a class with him.

Varney is the man. If you need to take a writing seminar, take any of his courses. I actually enjoyed being in class. And I don't go to classes. Seriously, this man will make you a better student, won't make you do too much work, and will just make your semester better. Take his classes.
