PSYCH 200 Taken for Credit:N/A Attendance: Not Mandatory Textbook Use: You need it sometimes Rater Interest: Really into it Grade Received: B

Barash is a very interesting person - he has a lot of amazing stories about working with large mammals. His lectures can be great, but they can be rambling. I wish he at least put pictures up on a Powerpoint. His tests are really tricky, even if you do the readings and come to class. I learned a LOT of disturbing things about mating strategy.

Love his class! Although he doesn't use powerpoints, his lectures are always interesting to listen to. Looked forward to going to his class everyday! His class wasn't difficult at all: 3 one hour lectures/week and 3 midterms (drops lowest of 3). No finals! Just take notes in class esp the vocab terms and you should be good to go! 4.0 is doable.

This class is amazing. Barash has the best stories. This is the only class I have ever looked forward to going to. You never know what he is going to talk about.... only down side is this class has 200 people and all his lectures are verbal.

Psych480 Taken for Credit:N/A Attendance: N/A Textbook Use: Essential to passing Rater Interest: Really into it Grade Received: N/A

You sit around in a circle and talk about different ideas on human nature from different famous thinkers. Grade is based on participations, weekly simple quizzes, and a term paper. One of the best classes I've ever taken at UW! Highly recommended!

Don't get your panties in a knot just because you're a religious fundamentalist-- if you can't help but get offended, this class isn't for you, but the prof is amusing, non-aggressive, but definitely opinionated (listed as dangerous by conservatives). He has years of experience in his field and definitely has cred. Not a difficult class at all.

Psych200 Taken for Credit:N/A Attendance: N/A Textbook Use: It's a must have Rater Interest: Really into it Grade Received: N/A

This class is alright- keep in mind, however it ends up being more of an Evolution 10 class than psychology. He doesn't use powerpoints which can make his lectures feel a scattered. But he only lectures 3/5 days of the week which is nice. He is definitely an atheist and has an agenda to push, but he has some great points and is overall interesting

Psych200 Taken for Credit:N/A Attendance: N/A Textbook Use: What textbook? Rater Interest: Meh Grade Received: N/A

The class is completely ridiculous! He doesnt even know what he is talking about and seems to make up random facts as he goes along to fit his so called "theory" of how humans came to be. Does not have any sympathy for any other beliefs and tries to throw dirt on those who believe in anything other than his "marvelous" theories. NOT recommended

PSYCH200 Taken for Credit:N/A Attendance: N/A Textbook Use: What textbook? Rater Interest: Sorta interested Grade Received: N/A

Class was boring. He teaches primarily evolution / biology more than anything else, so the class could be more difficult for someone who doesn't know much about it. He has a clear agenda to push, as he's always rambling off topic about how biology proves that God doesn't exist and requires his books as reading but are useless. Not recommended.
