Garthoff has an outstanding background in intelligence and brings a lot to the topic. He has great connections which he uses to bring in guest lecturers. Definitely meet with him during office hours and he'll give you insight about the course and help direct you in your research.

SIS 396 Taken for Credit:N/A Attendance: N/A Textbook Use: N/A Rater Interest: Really into it Grade Received: N/A

The lectures at times are tedious and can be boring but he does include some interesting stories and historical facts. Overall, papers and tests are easy if you study the right things and know general principles. He very helpful with paper ideas and sources outside of class.

Intel Taken for Credit:N/A Attendance: N/A Textbook Use: N/A Rater Interest: Sorta interested Grade Received: N/A

Is a nice man, but his lectures are completely unstructured; his test questions are very broad; and his class is boring
