Brian was a great teacher. Going to class was not mandatory, but it helped you understand everything more. If you just read the assigned books you will do fine. He also will answer your questions in class if you e-mail him. Also, very nice grading scale! | ||

Professor Donovans class was extremely interesting! He has a vocabulary that would make an english professor erupt into a fit of rage, and he uses it to describe key points in a way that is easy to understand. The discussion section is extremely helpful! If you get Anna Kern as your TA consider yourself extremely lucky, as she is extremely helpful! | |

Passionate about sociology. Doesnt use a textbook so theres no double information. Following him in lecture is very difficult becasue his slides are really bad, you have to pay super close attention. Some of the readings are good. Decently hard tests but has a curve where 86% on a test gets you an A. Make sure you read and pay attention and a easyB | ||

Do the readings. Get Ann as your Discussion TA if you can. She is really helpfull. Pretty easy class. I did not go much cause he skips around so much in lecture. And he uses a lot of words that you have to look up in a dictionary to know what they mean. Do the Discussion assignment and study a lil for the tests and you will be just fine... | |
