Wonderful professor. I will really miss his class. Makes biology fun. Always in a great mood in the morning. Is a great artist and uses that talent to relate to his lectures. Make sure you take him In the lab too. Just attend class and you will make an easy A. Doesn't need book.

I was supposed to graduate last semester but I had to take another science class...this class was the only class available then, and I HATE science. But he's an awesome teacher, enthusiastic, and funny. As long as you attend class, you will do fine. I suggest you record his lectures and listen to it over and over for tests. I got an A :)

What a wonderful Professor. He made me love and understood science compared to other professors that I took, he is the best! I recommend him because he makes you enjoy science. He is always happy and sings. He always reviews for every test and quiz the day before. There are no make ups allowed. I recommend to read the book because he does go fast.

GREAT!!!!! Even if biology wasn't what you planned on taking, I would suggest his class just because he makes things interesting. He seems happy all the time and tells funny stories that help you learn. He is a great artist too, and uses those skills to illustrate concepts. He makes sure his students learn what they should.

He is a fantastic professor! He does everything he can to help his students. As he says " this is not high school" and attendance is not mandatory, but the only way you will know the material is by taking notes in class. He really keeps you interested in Biology and he is so excited to teach it! Wonderful Teacher!

Lab Class only has three grades! Attendance is not mandatory, but if you want the grade you need to go to class! He is willing to help you as much as you need it and he makes himself available! Wonderful Teacher! Just do the work

This guy is amazing, probably one of my favorite teachers at GSC. All I have to say is "This isn't high school anymore!". Aanes is always full of energy (in his morning classes) and is willing to help you out if you have problems. You have to pay close attention to what he says in class and make to take down all of your notes.

He is a great professor. I was dreading the course Biol 1101 and the lab however he made it interesting and made me learn and enjoy it! Take this professor!

BEST TEACHER EVER! Even if you dislike biology this teacher can make you love it! Professor Aanes keeps you interested, and is hilarious! Great guy! I highly recommend his class! He teaches you everything you need to know, and he reviews everything you need to know for the tests and the quiz's! Highly highly RECOMMEND!

Professor Aanes is one of the best professors at GSC. No doubt about it. He is very helpful as long as you put forth effort and he is very personable and hilarious too. He only gives 3 tests (including the final) and 3 quizzes. In lab, there are only 3 grades. (lab, test, and final) If you can get this professor, I highly recommend him.

I had him for both lecture and lab. He was fantastic! He doesn't count attendance. In the lecture class, he only gives 3 tests (including final) and 3 quizzes. AWESOME teacher! He is so hilarious and engaging in his lectures. Not only is he a funny guy, but also a great teacher. He knows all there is to know about biology! Lots of extra credit too. Test & quizzes are easy as long as you go to class the day before for the review. Take his class!!

Great teacher, really passionate about what he teaches. Go to class and pay attention and study before the tests and quizzes and you should make an A. Plenty of Extra Credit oppurtinties. If you dont go to class, read the chapters and you should do well too.

Love this guy! Biology is definitely a weak subject of mine and I was so excited when I made my first A on a Biology test! He is a FANTASTIC teacher. He lets you know what you need to know and nothing more, plus he is just a goof that keeps you awake and interested in his class! You want this teacher!!!!!!!!!
