Prof Ackert was great. Do the practice exams and the handouts from class and look over the powerpoints. Important to be in class for notes, she does not use the book much, but all info is in there. Only test grades and all from prior tests/powerpoints. Extra credit towards final for doing My Fin Lab hwk.

I had to drop out of Finance 3100 twice before I took it with Prof. Ackert. She made everything so much clearer and easier I was able to get a B in the class! Lets you use notes on the tests! Big help!

Dr. Ackert made the class interesting and informative. She made sure that the material was conveyed in a clear way and that the class understood it. Will help students out when needed and did get back with questions in a timely manner. Overall good class and professor.

Wonderful teacher. Actually cares about teaching and helping students understand and succeed. Old version of the book was fine to use and cheaper..it helped me when studying for the tests. Def. recommend her to anyone

I took her for a special topics course. The subject was very interesting, but her teaching is a little bland. We had a research paper that was graded very harshly despite having plenty of good things to say about it.

Extremely boring class (so is the material); one of the easiest As ever. Prof. Ackert does a lot to help her students. She drops the lowest test grade (out of 3); gives decent bonus opportunities; and her practice exams are very similar to the real thing. You should try really hard to NOT get an A.

Wonderful professor for intro finance course. 3 tests and 1 required, comprehensive final; but drops lowest test grade of the first three. Personal formula sheets allowed on test days. Easy A, I'd say.

Very easy class. 4 tests and a final. She drops your lowest test grade which helped alot. Study the example tests she gives you and you will do good on the tests. No required HW or attendance.

She was great! Made understanding the material very easy. Provided answers to HW and the sample exams. Allows you to make a formula sheet for each test. Easy A if you try!

BORING! she reads straight from power points every class. tests are pretty easy, similar to practice tests which she goes over and explains. Homework not graded. Allows a formula sheet for tests and drops lowest score. Final is mandatory. Really nice lady but classes will put you to sleep.

She is one of the best teachers I've taken...study guides are similar to tests, tests are pretty easy. Homework is not mandatory. Just study a little bit right before the test and you're fine. Pretty easy A.

Great teacher! A little dry sometimes in lectures but definitely go over the sample exams because her exams are close to those.

This professor really know her stuff. I thought this class would be so hard and it turn out to be pretty easy. Lucy makes the material easy to understand. I actually learned something. I give her an A+.

Dr. Ackert is intelligent and available to students outside of class. This is a math class. The material is complex and one of the more challenging concepts in the securities market industry. If you attend classes (don't miss one) and skim the book, you will do well. Permitted formula sheet for exams - including comprehensive final.
