do not take this class you are in for a horrible semester. speaks about nothing during class and claims she teaches everything when you approach her. she lives by the textbook so if you do not get it you are doomed. harsh grader and extremely boring to sit through. best of luck to whoever takes it because you are going to need every ounce of luck.

SCI 1000C Taken for Credit:N/A Attendance: Mandatory Textbook Use: Barely cracked it open Rater Interest: Low Grade Received: A-

Very desultory during her lectures and throughout the whole semester. I do not recommend her, the class is just a headache if you want to raise your GPA.

SCI 1000C Taken for Credit:N/A Attendance: N/A Textbook Use: What textbook? Rater Interest: Meh Grade Received: N/A

Worst professor at Saint John's. I took evolution and all I learned about was cord blood! I failed every online quiz and got in the 70s on her midterm. She gave two paper options and because I chose the cord blood option she gave me an A in the course and the final was actually easy. Shes not helpful at all. STAY AWAY!

SCI-1000C-551 Taken for Credit:N/A Attendance: Mandatory Textbook Use: What textbook? Rater Interest: Really into it Grade Received: D+

I can't stress how terrible of a professor Roberta Hayes is. The course within itself is NOT hard, what made it hard was the fact that she "taught" all of this information and tested on COMPLETELY different topics. I deserved at least a B in this class. 350 characters is not enough. I could write a book on how terrible she is.

SCIEVO Taken for Credit:N/A Attendance: N/A Textbook Use: Essential to passing Rater Interest: Really into it Grade Received: N/A

If you take an online science course and she is your professor, this is your review. The course is entirely dependent on the book, and most of it is "busy" work with no real scientific merit. Her instructions for the longer papers are unclear, and she has a very unprofessional and rude tone in her e-mails. Ultimately, she is unbecoming of a doctor.

SCI2700 Taken for Credit:N/A Attendance: N/A Textbook Use: You need it sometimes Rater Interest: Low Grade Received: N/A

If you ever need help from her you better ask her in class cause she will hardly ever respond to emails! She knows what she's talking about and is pretty passionate about what she's teaching (especially cord blood) but she is just all over the place, hard to follow. Her class isn't terribly hard, I just wouldn't say she's a good professor.

She's not helpful in the least. She doesn't reply back to emails. She's not a good teacher. She spends all of her classes talking about how you should donate money to cord-blood usage, which, in case you forgot, is not what the class is teaching. You won't learn anything from her. Your only chance to pass is reading the books cover to cover.

My favorite class this semester hands down. You are going to learn quite a lot in this class if you take it. Hayes is a great professor & a big advocate for cord blood stem cell research. Do your homework & listen in class & you'll do great. I wish the SI campus had Biology as a major, I would take her for as many classes as possible!

She is tough but fair. This is college though. It is supposed to be tough. Exams and assignments are straightforward. She's not going to help you with the grade at all, but she gives a solid course and seems pretty knowledgable.

Very fair teacher if you ask me. A class you can end up with a good grade in simply by showing up to the majority of the classes, paying attention, and keeping up with the reasonable workload. The tests consisted of all the important material that was repeatedly emphasized in class.

This lady is really bad. She is absolutely miserable to listen to and she speaks to her class like they are scientists. Doesnt really teach, as she just takes pictures out of the textbook. Her midterm was 65 questions of torture and her final was 90. Avoid if at all possible.

This lady is definitely stupid. She talks the whole class about a bunch of nonsense like bugs on her trees and then gives you a crazy final. She talks to herself not to the class and she always takes atttendence..but if you're like me you'll leave early..or better yet..just don't take her at all cuz you'll shoot yourself before its over
