INSPIRATIONAL
Funny guy, as well as inspirational. Assigns homework, does not collect but the homework is basically the lecture. Three test, no final. Two papers (one is t attend a service outside of your own religion) ( the second is a book report on one of the books). Wrote one of the books himself. I will be taking my other core class with him as well! Recomm |

TOUGH GRADER
PARTICIPATION MATTERS
Extremely biased grader as far as tests. Your answer might be right but if he doesn't agree with it he will take off points. Is unclear about many topics in class and jumps around a lot. Doesn't really fully explain anything and even if you know nothing about Catholicism, you won't learn much in his Basics of Catholic Faith class. |

Funny guy! 3 exams, oral presentation, and book report. Gives out review sheets a week before exam. Exams are easy if you study the vocab at the end of each chapter and if you review the review sheet. Gives out homework, but doesn't collect it |

LECTURES ARE LONG
He is a bit rude in comments and although he has written his own book and teaches from it, he tends to get off track while lecturing. Assigns homework which he does not check. Also tends to go off on a tangent while teaching which leads to confused to note taking. The essays are simple which is great. The tests are a bit harder because of wording |

AMAZING LECTURES
CLEAR GRADING CRITERIA
Recommended if you would like to take an interesting class with a good teacher. Tests are all essay, but gives a review sheet ahead of time. Also, a presentation and two very easy opinion based papers. Worth taking! |

LECTURES ARE LONG
Dr. Stoutzenberger is a nice man. He knows what he is talking about, considering he wrote one of the books. His lectures seem to drag. He always comes into class late. Only had about 4 test all together, that's including the final. One book report due and a oral presentation. Assigns homework but he doesn't collect it, he just goes over it in class |

He is a very nice teacher. At times he can be funny, but I used to think his class would drag. He makes study guides for each test and has a review the class before. His tests can be a little difficult but he allows extra credit and if you study you should be fine |

funny as hell. Talkative and usually starts a good class discussion. Grades fairly and gives good feedback. I definitely recommend him if you want a religion course that's interesting but not too challenging. |

He's laid back and very talkative. He usually gets a discussion going. His lectures are random. He usually tells you exactly what is on the exams. Overall, I would recommend him. |

Great teacher! Makes class interesting and has good discussions. Very laid back which makes you feel more comfortable. Had him for both basics of catholic faith and world religions. Did essay tests for basics of cath faith and mostly multiple choice and t/f for world religions. Excellent teacher though I would recommend him to anyone! |

I had him for world religions and he was an awsome teacher. Very understanding and helpful. He is also very knowlegeble. If you read the book, do the assignments, and take notes you will do fine. Also, he took the class to the Islam service and that was interesting. |

He is a bad teacher - never gives meaningful lectures. instead he is late for every class, comes in and asks students to discuss among themselves a topic, leaves for another 20 minutes and then shows up. He never teaches. His method is bad. |
