"Tests are tough" "Skip class? You won't pass." "Clear grading criteria"

He is not the best professor I've ever had, but he's really a good guy. He is just enamored by EE, specifically RF design and microelectronics. If you understand that, all of a sudden you realize why he is quiet and monotone sometimes. He's been one of my better professors at Penn State. Solid class.

His videos were the biggest pain ive had at penn state. They were so boring that nothing could help me stay still in my seat and watch a lecture video for more than 1 minute. Monotoneeeeeeeeee. He needs to find a way to actually make this class slightly interesting. His exams arnt that bad though. Thats if you watched his lectures

EE 212 Taken for Credit:Yes Attendance: Not Mandatory Textbook Use: What textbook? Rater Interest: Sorta interested Grade Received: N/A

Penn State dropped the ball on this course. It is simply sadistic that they make us take it. How can an elective EE class have more work and be harder than a core major class?

The subject is not even in the FE exam for some disciplines. Worst online class at PSU. You will have homework in spring break and the weekend of finals week.

Agree with the last post. Towards end of class he isn't as clear with his presentations and makes suggestions that "you'll see this in the hw". Class is boring as he fails to engage students.

He is a good teacher at first when the material is easy, however, when the material towards the end of the semester gets to be more difficult he uses phrases such as "you will see this in the homework so we wont go over this" or "the analysis is too difficult so ill just give you this." He is also the softest man i have ever met.

He may not be over the top in expressing his interest in the subject matter, but he definitely has a passion for it. The connections to real world applications and short history lessons were very interesting. He's also a tablet pc wizard and manages to create some great notes that are all uploaded every week. Exams are hard but so is EE in general.

Class is well organized. Start the homework early. Even though the math is not hard for this class, the circuit analysis can be extremely frustrating at times. The main problem with Wharton is his monotone, boring attitude. He expresses NO excitement for the subject. It makes it hard to keep focus even when you were awake entering the class.

He expects you to go to class and pay attention, but it is not part of your grade. Wharton's lecture notes are a lot better, but Mitchell is said to be less boring. Homework is long sometimes. I recommend copying from a friend.

Mark is really good, but it's sometimes hard to see that because in general he is a pretty boring guy. His notes are really well done and he posts them online after class. If you understand the homework then you are pretty much squared away for the exams.

Great professor. He's quiet, but sit up front and you'll learn a lot. He has a lot of experience in industry and knows his stuff.

unimaginably quiet, never come to class **** or tired ... anyways. sit up front and try to pay attention. He is very useful and related every part of every chapter to real life experience if you can hear him, which makes it much more interesting to learn.

He's quiet so sit up front. It's just like 210. He does a great job explaining the new concepts except towards the end where the material got kinda fuzzy. Go to Class, Pay Attention, Do the homework Yourself (don't use solution manual) and you should get at least a 'B'. His industrial experience makes the material very practical. Highly Recommend.

his lectures tell you pretty much what you need to know to do the hw...but they dont help too much on the tests. as long as you can keep a clear mind during the test and understand the material pretty...well great, then youll be fine in the class...oh and the lab SUCKS!

Class lectures were EXTREMELY organized. Does notes on tablet PC on projector so notes and stuff are very easy to see in class, and then he posts the notes with worked out solutions online. Also has answers to HW problems on assignment so you can figure out what you do wrong. Also very nice and helpful in office hours. Very good prof.

Posted Class Notes were spectacular. Gave answers to the homework problems, so that you could see if you were doing the solution right!
