Although this is an EASY A to satisfy graduation requirements, don't expect to learn anything from this course. I attended half of the classes and passed the class with a 97%. Heavy bulk of the assignments are done at the beginning of semester, by midterms you basically only have hw assignments; Felt a lot like a high school class with busy work.

2 Big Projects. One individual presentation. One group debate project. Tests are online through blackboard. Syllabus is confusing so read thoroughly and ask her questions. A lot of homework and readings (practically everyday). Requires a lot of group participation. If you do well on the tests and do your homework and projects, you'll be fine.

easy class but boring. you have a study guide due every class but she just looks at it, tests are simple and "projects" are simple. can only miss class 3 times.

At first class seems tough. but it's easy overall. She will have you do homework for the first 8 weeks of class. And it may seem challenging at first. But after the major project, the class becomes a cake walk and final is optional. Would highly recommend. Take this class and work your tail off the first two months and then your alright.

I would recommend her. Overall the class is not very hard, if you go over the study guides you'll do fine on her exams. There is some hw and a paper, along with a presentation (again, not too hard. oh and we work in groups a lot, good thing for some but not others.

She is the head of the department, but she doesn't know linguistics. She knows TESOL and that is it.
