Econ 373 Taken for Credit:N/A Attendance: N/A Textbook Use: What textbook? Rater Interest: Really into it Grade Received: N/A

Amazing professor! Lectures are clear and he makes the problems funny and entertaining! He gets to know everyone and tries to make sure they understand the lectures. The quizzes are hard and you really need to understand the reasoning behind the formulas and models to do well. Take this class, you'll end up learning a lot and loving it!

ECON195K Taken for Credit:N/A Attendance: N/A Textbook Use: Barely cracked it open Rater Interest: Low Grade Received: N/A

I joined so I could review Dr. Fullenkamp. He is simply the best teacher I have ever had at Duke. Taking a class called Financial Risk Management doesn't sound too alluring. He made it extremely interesting and more than that he cultivated a fun and eclectic classroom. Every student at Duke should take a non-required class taught by Dr. Fullenkamp.

ECON 101 Taken for Credit:N/A Attendance: N/A Textbook Use: You need it sometimes Rater Interest: Sorta interested Grade Received: N/A

Great teacher but totally nuts. Pretty hilarious in lectures, making attendance worthwhile. The lessons are videotaped, so you watch them at home at your own pace, take notes, and then ask questions about them during class. Interesting format, but I ended up liking it. It's a lot of work, but if you do it/show up, you'll do well. Great overall.

What a boss. I took Econ 101 without ever taking an econ class in high school, and Fullenkamp's class pretty much alone convinced me to major in Econ. He is smart, engaging, and actually really nice. Put in the time (admittedly is quite a bit), watch the video lectures, and you'll get a good grade. Curves generously.

Fullenkamp is extremely intelligent and the material for 101 is interesting; however, the flipped classroom approach is a huge time-waster and leads to a big workload. Getting a good grade is manageable but you have to be prepared to work for it.

This class is rigorous and time consuming so do not take it unless you are serious about econ. However, it was very interesting and is a valuable tool to get students on their way down the econ path. Fullenkamp isn't the nicest most accessible teacher, but hes a great teacher. Lectures are done via video outside of class, which I liked.

Prof. Fullenkamp is a really funny, very intelligent guy. His tests are near impossible (a 40% is usually around an A). The grading is very arbitrary and it can be frustrating that you only have 3 grades. Doesn't always seem fair. You don't use the textbook AT ALL so don't buy it. Also, you don't actually need to buy the newspaper. You learn a lot!

Great teacher and hilarious guy - he happens to love making fun of students as well. Definitely a class worth taking but pretty difficult and tests on grading can be arbitrary. Don't bother buying textbook or going to lectures because you will get nothing from either

Hard Intro class, funny guy. Extremely intelligent but arrogant at times. Over all still a good teacher who wanted you to learn as much as you could.

Everyone needs to take a class from Fullenkamp. He makes difficult material seem simple (though his tests are very hard) and keeps students engaged during lectures. You have to work hard to do well in his class and some people simply don't grasp econ, but he's very funny and EXTREMELY organized which is helpful when preparing for tests.
