Class wasn't bad. He is very helpful and answers questions. Every week there is a group discussion, 4 HW assignments, a midterm and final. Economics for me is not a easy class regardless. But the test were not to bad, Just have to understand the problems to do the HW.

Discussions and Paper were done by group work, which can either be good or bad depending on your members. Homework was easy. Exams were difficult.

He is very helpful with the topics. We don't really use much textbooks except the test, he has a open book test and gives us self-test to practice. He will also go over the self-test. He is pretty easy to understand as long as you pay attention.

Well prepared, funny, and very approachable. Exams are open book/notes. You cannot do well in this course unless you attend class and do the HW. Would gladly take another course from Dr. Chen.

Dr. Chen was very knowledgeable of his material. There is some homework in which your assigned group only has to post one answer to the DB. There are 4 case studies for your group and 1 term project that was fairly easy. He graded exams on a curve. CH. quizzes are not for a grade. I would take him again and I recommend him to anyone.

Awesome Prof! He is the only professor who can make a hard and boring statistics become extremely EASY and FUN! He also teaches ECON. Can't wait to take his class again! I really hope he can teach other classes too. Great Teacher. Lots of Jokes. You won't fall asleep in the class! Everything is well-explained and detail!

Be honest, I don't like the way that he divides students into a few groups. However, his teaching skill and professional knowledge are number one at UHV, and he grades students' score fairly that only one who I have known so far at UHV.

The professor is great. He uses humor, but the lectures are given at a rapid pace. You must start studying for the midterm right away, not just before the exam. I had to drop the course because I was not prepared for the mid term like I should have been.

Good professor. I took the course online. He provided all the lecture notes at the beginning of the semester so if you have time you could study ahead. I have taken stats before so this class was a cake walk. I spent a max of 5 hours a week studying but for the first month I probably only spent 2 or 3 hours a week.

Statistics class explained fairly well by Dr. Chen. Grading was reasonable and assignments reflected lectures and techniques learned throughout the course. Just be sure to give yourself enough time to complete the case studies. Nothing difficult but it will take time to produce a quality assignment to turn in. Good luck!

Took online class with this prof and I do have to say that I was impressed with the class. There is a lot of reading to do but he mainly uses lecture notes on exams. Class is structured and organized. Would recommend him to other students and would take him again for another class. He has some typos on his notes but that can be easily corrected

Chen is one of the best professors I have ever had in my college career. He really cares about and loves what he teaches. He is brilliant and clear, funny and interesting. I would take any class that Dr. Chen teaches. The material is of medium difficulty, but he is eloquent and explains the material well. He also adds funny personal stories. Curves
