Stat 200
Fun guy and makes the class enjoyable. His grading system is very fair (drops 2 lowest homeworks, mastery quizzes, and exam). He wants his students to do well. You should attend class because it helps with the weekly activities and quizzes. Also, I recommend studying. You make a formula sheet for every exam and all exams are similar. Recommend him!
STAT200
TERRIBLE! You have to teach yourself everything and half of the things he puts on the quiz aren't even in his class notes or the readings. I had to google most things while taking the quizzes. He also uses way too many double negatives which makes the questions even more confusing than they need to be. Take it with buchanon or jenny shook.
STAT200
Take the blended class if you're a self-learner. The class is relatively easy. The 2 things that will hurt your grade is 1. not doing the work and 2. not studying all the material. Don't assume you'll do well because the material is easy, Wiesner throws everything and anything on the exams. Fill your note sheet with as much information as possible.

Prof. Wiesner is an awesome professor and his blended learning class is awesome because you only have class once a week. I do think it makes the class more difficult because you have to teach yourself a lot. Don't buy the book because its worthless and everything is online. If you're responsible and have a friend blended learning is the way to go.
stat100
Andy knows what he is talking about. he is very helpful and i enjoy his stat 100 class. there is no reason you should not pass his class. as long as you come to class you will pass all of your exams and quizzes.
Stat501
Stat 462 was required for my major, but I took Stat 501 instead because of the great things I've heard about Andy. It was great being with grad students- totally different environment. I learned so much about statistics with him. He is very gifted at explaining not only "how", but also "why". Take him for 501 instead of 462, even if in undergrad.
STAT200
Best Stat professor at Penn State by far! Let's you drop your lowest exam. Very nice guy and is very willing to help his students. Take STAT 200 with this professor! Can't recommend him enough!!
STAT100
Take Stat with him and only him. He's a nice guy with a dry sense of humor. He's totally approachable and can use the most simplest analogies to further explain the definitions/theories. Tests and quiz are very fair, and I actually felt like I learned something from him.
Stat100
Awesome teacher. He is extremely helpful, and his notes are as clear as can be. I did horribly in high school stats and am now doing very well. Quizzes and exams open notes and very manageable. He is a good guy.
STAT200
I was worried about taking STAT in a classroom because I barely passed in high school so I took it online because my roommate recommended Andy, and it's even better! He only drops ONE quiz online, but you get TWO shots at everything! Notes are crystal clear the labs are a really efficient study tool for the quizzes. Take him and ONLY HIM for STAT!

Awesome teacher! Go to class, take notes, and you'll be fine! It's also nice to have a friend in the same section to take the quizzes with. Easy GQ course!!
STAT100
Since I have to take STAT200, I'm ready to take him again after STAT100. He's very helpful and funny, and he makes things clear and as easy as possible. Quizes once a week, very easy, open book and allow help and discussion. Exams are also open book but you do it on your own. Take him if you can!
Stat100
Take him! His quizzes are open note and book and you can talk with anybody in your classroom including Andy and his TA's. His exams are the same but you cannot talk to anyone. He is a huge help if you go to office hours and review your quizzes and exams. He drops two quizzes and one exam. I have not met a Prof who cares about their students more!
STAT501
Love this class. A bit hard at the beginning, but as long as you follow his lecture you will be fine. the grading of the homework is super nice, not hard exam.
Stat100
Wow, was I surprised at how awesome a 'math' teacher could be! So helpful, really knows how to make concepts understandable for everyone! I look forward to taking another Stat class with him in the future.
STAT200
I highly suggest taking the hybrid class. There's weekly labs and quizes but they're pretty easy and prepare you for the exams. If you are required to take Stat 200, take it with Wiesner.
STAT501
The Best Professor Ever! He teaches awesome. Insanely laid back, friendly and will get help you out if you have any problems. Grades easy, you will learn a ton. In a word perfect! Sign up for his classes before they get filled!
STAT497
Great professor, better guy. Everyone can learn from Andy and he is approachable, intelligent, and funny. Also one of the most knowledgeable sports fans around
STAT200
Andy is a great teacher, however this class is not that easy. Each week you have a lab activity (homework), a unit quiz, and a mastery quiz. The averages for the quizzes were consistently in the 60's. However, the exams are pretty easy so the quizzes shouldn't bring down your grade that much. He is very skilled in the art of teaching.
