LAW630
Professor Collett, while a good professor when she sticks to Property, her political views are forced down the throats of her students and does not encourage a level playing field when it comes educated discussions concerning political issues. If she stuck to property subject matter in a property class, she would be much more effective.
LawProp
I had Professor Collett for my 1L property class. She, still to this day, remains one of the most influential and nurturing instructors I've ever came across in my legal education. Of course, since she taught a required 1L common law course, I had no choice but to "deal" with her as a professor. However, she was one of my favorite instructors.
LAWS630
She IS into her Catholic dogma, but she is also a sweetheart (bite def. bigger than her bite.) Before the reading period, she dist. her phone # to the class and told us to call her at home if we had any questions before the final. She is high energy and engaging - just make sure you are paying attention, she flies through things.
Property
Demanding class and even more demanding prof. She's very bright and has high expectations for everyone. Frustratingly, she spends too much time expressing Catholic Dogma and political opinions. Ultra conservative and Catholic.
LAWS446
She communicates the material very clearly. When she does side track (which she does only after we've learned what we need to), it's an interesting and informative (and often controversial) diversion, but well worth it, even if you disagree with her.
ConLaw
Very intelligent, but militant about her beliefs. Turned a 2 credit class into a 16 credit class with the amount of work she assigned. Took 2 months to turn in grades for our class.
PropeSECT
Needs to focus on teaching substantive legal principles instead of semi-related religious dogma. If you want to learn property law, be sure to take another professor.
