"Hilarious" "Inspirational" "Gives good feedback"

Prof. Schoolfied is hilarious and makes this class really fun. She also holds conferences with every student for the final project to make sure we do well on it. Answers emails quickly and gives clear instructions--easy to make a good grade if you follow them. If you want to brush up on your grammar, take this class.

"Participation matters" "Gives good feedback" "Clear grading criteria"

Professor Schoolfield makes her expectations incredibly clear and gives great feedback both in class and during office hours. She always responds quickly to emails. And the two papers at the end of the semester . . . one is a rewrite of of the first paper we wrote, and if we make an A on the paper, we get to replace our first, lower grade.

"Skip class? You won't pass." "Tough Grader" "Get ready to read"

She's nice as person but terrible as a professor. It's a few days to finals and she is the only professor I have that gives us 2 essays to write. If you want to go to her office hours you must first visit the writing lab a thousand times. Don't expect to make an A in any essay because what she is looking for is never clear.

This teach is PHENOMENAL. I adore her and her class. Follow the rules (she outlines them very clearly), and if you get a chance, visit her office hours. She's wonderful to talk to! The class is not difficult, just do what she asks of you.

Schoolfield is really nice and won't hesitate to answer questions. Make sure you take notes and say something -anything- every class period because participation counts. Sometimes you can't read her notes, but she will tell you what she meant if you ask. Also, she is the only ENGL 1315 professor to have tests, which include timed explications.

She is very nice and helpful in general, and welcomes students to her office hours. She is very dedicated to her class (you can tell she is prepared to teach). She expects her students to actually work, since she wants the most out of her students, which i like to see in professors. she actually cares, unlike the "lecture and leave" type.

Clear teacher, fair grader. Work hard in class and you will make an A. Don't turn in assignments late or use non-MLA citations. Also, grammar is next to godliness in Prof. Schoolfield's class-- dude, ROFL, and LOLs will not impress her. She will let you go over the word limit but never under. If you need help, she is happy to help you.

Great teacher! Class was easy because she almost always reread the assigned literature. I'd urge you to participate in class otherwise it will be very boring & because final grades are based on participation. Grades consisted of about 4 short papers (2-3 pages), one 5-7 page paper, and a final exam paper.

Terrible teacher. She doesn't teach anything. Class time is spent reading from the textbook aloud, like elementary school. She always said to go to the writing lab for punctuation help, however they say that they don't check for punctuation, only content. She gave me the only B I have ever received in my college career (I'm a jr) DON'T TAKE HER!

I thought she was great! She's extremely helpful and always willing to help you develop your paper. She also explains the grammar she expects you to know and gives specific assignment sheets for each paper so you know exactly what's expected. I dreaded taking English, but she made it fun, and I feel a lot better about my writing now.

Professor Schoolfield was great! She held individual conferences twice during the semester, and I really learned a lot from these about how to improve my paper specifically. She's also happy to help you with your papers during her office hours. She gives out an assignment sheet for every paper, which makes it really easy to know what's expected.

I honestly felt like I was back in the 6th grade. She treats her students like they're 12 years old and favors some over others. She grades essays (our only real grade) on grammar, not content or form. If you are very dumb and do not want a college course, please, choose this "professor". I didn't learn a single thing from this woman.

We wrote essays which she graded on grammar, not content. She was biased towards the kids who sat in the front and talked to her. She openly said "You're my favorite." To a girl and so she repeatedly came in 30 minutes late and never said anything. I walked in on time, and she said "you're late." I wouldn't recommend taking a class from her. Ever.

Pretty good teacher. Definitely one of the harder teachers, but still not too bad. Lot of work, especially essays. However, she grades leniently. If you are reasonably intelligent you can get an A.

Professor provided assignment sheets and examples for each assignment and explained each assignment clearly. Available and willing to read paper drafts--provides helpful comments. Allows rewrites of shorter papers. Some fun assignments . . . interviews. Some not so fun . . . research paper. All in all, a good class and good professor.

Thought it would be easy at first, FRUSTRATING WOMAN! Be sure and learn HER version of MLA format or shell fail every paper, the official website for MLA is NOT what she follows. Assignments are not very well thought out and dont work for all people in the class. attend policy rediculous. change your class if you get her. dont say i didnt warn you
