Dr. Millwood is a greatprofessor who has a passion for teaching. It is clear that she loves what she does. A lot of work but this is the usual for a higher education class. You will learn a lot & get a good grade only if you put the effort to succed. Great Class, Better Professor.

Great teacher heavy workload but stick with it and attend class and she won't let you fail. She's very dedicated, I loved going to her class, it was a lot of work but I retained a lot of what she taught me. One of the best teachers at MVC.

I am going to become a geologist after taking her class. It's a tough class because it's an unfamiliar topic. Read the text AHEAD of time, you will do very well. She is a great teacher and easy to approach. She WILL help you if you are trying and need it. Talk to her!. She deserves a MUCH BETTER rating! She has entertaining lectures and knows

She is very knowledgeable about the content and knows it like the back of her hand but when it comes to teaching it she goes to fast and expects people to understand as quickly as she does. She gets frustrated when her students don't understand the material.Alot of reading and assignments and it is just a very stressful class. Pick another teacher!

Dr. Millwood is an overall good professor. She provides numerous extra credit opportunities in addition to dropping lowest test/quiz/lab grades. During lecture she'll take the time to answer students questions (although she may linger off-topic) & emphasize things that are needed to know for the exams. Her class is not easy, but definitely passable

I LOVE HER! Her class is a little difficult, READ READ READ READ READ YOUR BOOK! you will stay behind if you do not read your book! she is VERY SWEET AND KIND and very passionate for geology! ASK QUESTIONS AND PARTICIPATE. if you do not like to read or do much then this class is not for you. other then that, she is a GREAT professor!

Millwood is a wonderful teacher. She is not recommended for the lazy students who want life handed to them. You have to earn your grade and read EVERYTHING she tells you to. She is very intelligent and made geology interesting.

You have to earn your grade, Not an easy class but if you study and show up to class you will pass. Study everything in chapters includig all the diagrams. Your in college not high school, you actually have to do some thinking to pass. It was a challange but it's a very intresting class. She is a very unique teacher thats willing to help you pass

If you do not want to learn and work hard then go to el centro. If you want a teacher that just gives you a grade then go somewhere else. If you want a demanding professor with a doctorate than choose Dr. Millwood!!!!!

Expects way too much. Test are hard, must do everything in the text book& lab manual. Take all by it self and do all your work

Yes, you passed because everyone wents nuts and went to complain about her to her boss. I'm a good student, ready to transer to UTA and I make ggod grades. I've never had an instructor as bad as Millwood. You want to like her but she's goofy and disorganized. I agree with everyoine else. Don't take her if you have any other choices.

Everybody hates Dr. Millwood and I have to say that I hated her for a while too. She is actually a really nice woman once you get to know her. Yes, she is scattered and very difficult to deal with but if you come to class everyday and show that you are trying, you will pass the class. I failed horribly every single exam and still passed. :D

If you have to take a science to complete your degree, take biology or chemistry or physics but not geology OR take geology at another college. This person is the only teacher in geology and I would recomend that you stay away from this class. She's wierd.

Awful! Awful! Awful! She's flaky and tells about her personal problems in class. She gets behind because she rambles. You can't talk to her or she gets all upset. She loses your papers and tests so you can't study from them and you don't know your grade then she blames you. DO NOT TAKE THIS WOMAN!

Awesome teacher. Expects more critical thinking. Lots of reading. Lots of sudying. If you are not ready to be challenged stay away from Dr. Millwood.

she knows her material and has a nerdgasm over new minerals she gets. she makes you think instead of giving you a straight answer, i think thats why i passed. i spent more time then i should on this class, but i go to school to learn and i got every cent. be sure to study before and after each class. the final is over all the labs.
