Will work with you and considers grades second and your learning experience first and foremost. REALLY intelligent and knowledgeable. Tests are take-home and pretty hard. Fix your writing ability and you will do well.

THEA4303 Taken for Credit:N/A Attendance: N/A Textbook Use: Barely cracked it open Rater Interest: Really into it Grade Received: N/A

I took his film studies class Fall 2011, his Acting V class Sprinf 2012, and I am in both his Classical Theatre History and Shakespeare and Verse (performance) classes this semester, Fall 2012. Dr Maher is EXTREMELY intelligent and isn't the kind of teacher who gets joy out of seeing people fail. He is a wonderfully passionate teacher. Take him!

Dr. Maher is one of the few teacher at UTA who knows what he's doing ,and has actual "biz" experience. I learned more from him in his script analysis class than I ever have in a theatre class. The workload isn't that heavy, and he's a pretty lax grader, so long as he sees you making the effort. Take his class if you actually want to get better.

Couldn't remember my name and was rude and sarcastic when I asked for help. Big ego and likes to hear himself talk.

Not easy, but you sure will learn. If you take online classes, KEEP UP--if you get behind you drown.

Great Teacher and Mentor. Subject matter can be difficult, but Dennis helps a student understand and find the love for the Theatre required to succeed.

I think Denis is so intelligent, and if you are interested in the topics, then you'll love his classes. He's great...funny, too. Just get ready to write a lot of papers!
