"Clear grading criteria" "Amazing lectures" "Would take again"

Hands down the most intriguing class at Mizzou. Dr. Sperber is an expert on 20th Century Germany and inspired me through his lectures to seek more information on historical events. Attendance was never mandatory, but skipping class will make you feel guilty that you've missed one of his amazing lectures. It is a very tough, but rewarding course.

Decent class; attend class every so often and spend time on the papers, and you should't have any trouble.

Fun guy. He likes to tell a joke before starting class. The workload is acceptable. His TAs provides very good comments and suggestions when returning first drafts. Not hard to get an A if you write your papers seriously.
