Brother Satterfield, like many of the other religion teachers, is amazing. What sets him apart is his immense knowledge of the things he teaches. Brother Satterfield didn't just teach the Book of Mormon, he taught the fundamentals and essentials of the gospel. The spirit is always there, and you gain a lot of spiritual insights from the homework.

Brother Satterfield is amazing. This was my first semester home from the mission, so I decided to take two religion courses so that I could keep up with my spiritual aura, there could not have been a better teacher than Brother Satterfield. His knowledge of the scriptures is very profound and I always leave the class mind blown and with the spirit.

Loud and talks about how he went to Jerusalem for the majority of class time. Pretty standard religion teacher. TA grades everything. Wanted physical copies submitted(as opposed to I-Learn)

Brother Satterfield is one of the most knowledgeable teachers I am taking a class from right now. He teaches by the Spirit and knows what he's talking about. Don't be intimidated by the work load. It is all worth it in the end and you learn a lot from doing it. Don't be afraid to ask questions. The discussions after the question are incredible.

Brother Satterfield was a fantastic teacher. I would recommend him to anyone. His class was my favorite by far, and i learned so much more in his class. He made it very interesting and fun to learn. He was also very clear about every topic he talked about.

Gets off topic a lot but knows the gospel backwards and front wards. Likes to ramble, but you are able to get a lot out of his rambling even when it is off topic.

Br. Satterfield is by far the best professor I had in all of my college experience (Ricks, BYUI, BYU-Provo, Harvard MBA). He has you write so much, because that's how you know you're learning the doctrine correctly. He teaches principles and doctrine, and does not waste your time with spiritual twinkies or feel goods. I am so greatful for him.

Writings of Isaiah was a great class. Do not take this class if you are looking for an easy to understand class. Attendance is absolutely mandatory. Brother Satterfield teaches by the Spirit and tried to help clarify so expect numerous tangents. The final is intense, start early.

Brother Satterfield was a pretty good teacher. A lot of the class discussion was totally irrelevant to the readings assigned. Also, he only teaches through Matthew, the other three gospels aren't discussed in class. John is a seperate individual assignment.

Brother Satterfield is very intelligent so sometimes he is hard to follow. Do not take this class if you have not gone through the temple or on a mission. You will be completely lost. There is a lot of work and a big paper along with other assignments throughout the course. If you are looking for an easy religion class, this isn't it.

Very difficult subject matter, but Brother Satterfield is extremely understanding of this and has a helpful and relevant perspective. He expects a lot, but encourages everyone to meet the challenge, rather than shrink under it and grade grub. He is realistic and levels with his pupils, very respectful and dignified man.

Fantastic teacher. Signing up for my 3rd class with him. Especially New Testament classes. He's spent so much time in the middle east, that he can make it easier to understand the Bible because he can give it back story. The 2 essays a semester were easy enough, no tests. A very low-stress, enjoyable class.

Hard teacher. Did not stay on topic. What we talked about in class had nothing to do with the homework. His two big papers we never talked about the material we had to write about. Did not even finish all of the New Testament which was the assigned course. Will no take anything from him again.

Brother Satterfield is very fun in class but he often gets distracted. His write ups are sometimes unclear and its hard to know sometimes what your supposed to do and why you got the grade you did on those write ups. Besides the 5-6 write ups you will do during the semester this class is not very difficult. You will learn a ton in this class!

There is a lot of work but it was worth it for the immense knowledge gained. His experience from observing life in Jeruselum gave a greater understanding of the Bible.

This class was horrible! I was looking forward to Church History, but he made us learn everything there is to know about the Old Testament first. Our first assignment was a 5 page, single-spaced essay on the Old Testament. He went on several tangents during class, and the workload was ridiculous.
