SSCI 300 Taken for Credit:Yes Attendance: Mandatory Textbook Use: Essential to passing Rater Interest: Low Grade Received: N/A

Readings are very long and so are his very slow lectures, however, the information provided is very interesting. The tests are ridiculously difficult and the time is extremely limited (very wordy and twisted questions which make it very confusing) the tests are taken at home since it is an online class but are closed book. I'd say a hard C class.

ANTHANTH Taken for Credit:N/A Attendance: N/A Textbook Use: Essential to passing Rater Interest: Meh Grade Received: N/A

INFORMATION OVERLOAD! Lectures consists of him reading up to 30 slides word for word in a very monotonous tone...its excruciating. Ridiculous amount of readings, films, very long lectures I mean he makes it quite hard to find anything interesting about the course. Class was online so maybe that made a difference but I've had far better experiences

I agree his lectures are VERY long. You spend about 2 hours just writing things down while watching the slideshow. Also, there is a lot of reading. This class alone, I read 3 books along with the lectures and assigned xerox readings. I spent about 4hrs/wk studying. Boring, but if you're interested in the subject, you'll learn a lot.

Anth152 Taken for Credit:N/A Attendance: N/A Textbook Use: Barely cracked it open Rater Interest: Sorta interested Grade Received: N/A

Lectures are boring. The only reason you would want to attend class is because he takes attendance everyday and is included in your class participation grade. I ended up skipping towards the end of the semester because I lost interest. Luckily his tests are all multiple choice and relatively easy if you study with the study guides and sheets.

ANTH100 Taken for Credit:N/A Attendance: N/A Textbook Use: What textbook? Rater Interest: Meh Grade Received: N/A

Very very boring teacher. Assignments are boring, the lectures unbearable, but if your willing to be bored for an easy A like I was then take this class. And the test aren't that bad but it does require some studying. And don't waste money on the book. I didn't get it and I was just fine

Took his on-line course. Lots of lectures lots of reading. One hour chats every other week. Very confusing at first. Lectures are way too long - so much info on one PP slide - have to start all over if you missed something and much info not useful for tests. One study guide was 8 pages long!

I took his summer online course. He was online a lot, which was good if you had questions or needed help. I agree he uses hard to see slides and his lectures can be long, but the information was interesting. I'm taking another one of his classes in the fall. His test questions can be long and he doesn't give much time, so be prepared for tests.

SSCI300 Taken for Credit:N/A Attendance: N/A Textbook Use: It's a must have Rater Interest: Really into it Grade Received: N/A

Turner's class is interesting if you keep an open mind. His slides are hard to read at times and occassionally he does get off topic, but nevertheless he is a good teacher. It is possible to study for a test the night before and pass with an A, depending on how many notes you took. Outside of class, he is very kind and welcoming.

He's a flake and doesn't follow his study guides. You either like him or you don't. This is also the lowest grade I ever got at UHWO.

i only had to study for 2 nights for his tests and i got A's even without the curve! his lectures are super long and he goes a little fast. too much info on one powerpoint slide. doesn't help that he uses hard to see colors. has study sessions before each test and will answer any question you have-practically gives you the answer! way easy
