tests are very tricky, u need to read the slides in DETAIL and watch the video lectures online to do well. The final wss hard, the lowest average all semister, also make sure you do well on the quizzes b/c they can make the difference in letter grades at the end.

his tests are SO TRICKy. studied for 14 hours for the last one and made a 79! made an A on the first & third, made a 73 on the 2nd. made an A-, but with the studying i did, i deserved an A+ it was extremely difficult and tricky, even if you memorize all the slides, you mighttmake a 79 like me -_- take an easier teacher if possible

He's so monotone. Great place to take a nap. :) Lectures are online but its still hard to sit and listen to everything he says.

Tests are extremely tricky. Not understanding at all and does not care about his students. You basically get what you get. He makes you feel intimidated and stupid when you ask him a question. Take another professor if you can.

Pretty easy class if you take the time to study. His tests can be tricky so really understand the material, don't just memorize. All of his material is online so class is optional but it helps if you use both.

Dr. Knapp is such a nice professor. He tries his best to help students and answers emails quickly. There are plenty of extra credit given. However, his tests are tricky and detailed so study hard.

I love Knapp. I took him for Micro last semester, now Bio2 and he's still just as amazing as ever. You never have to go to class because he posts everything online. He curves ALOT. Easy A if you study. I love himmmmm. Take himmmm.

Worst professor I've had at UH. Micro is ridiculously difficult. Whenever I went to ask him a question he made me feel stupid and uncomfortable. His class will put you to sleep. Exams are too tricky. Wish he would ease up.

Dr. Knapp is a great teacher. I had him for many biology courses. He explains things clearly and always answers emails promptly. Definitely one of the better teachers at UH.

Knapp is awesome. You don't have to attend class, just be sure to watch his lectures online. I'm pretty sure I'm sitting at around a A- in his class. Be sure to do the Masteringicrobiology, and read his notes, and you'll pass with flying colors. I'm taking him again in the spring. (:

I took him for both bio 1 & 2. I went to class for the first few days. All lectures were online so i stopped going. His tests were kinda similar to previous year's tests. Made a B in the class. I could not hear him in class coz he mumbled a lot. If u start studying a week ahead with all the materials provided in his website u will do fine.

All you have to do is masteringmicro, listen to lectures, and do worksheets he gives you. Memorize and you will make an A. Im a C student and made an A with a little effort so theres no excuse for anyone not to do good. Just put in an hour every night.

LOVE HIM! So nice and a great teacher. Class is based on 4 tests plus 4 extra credit quizzes and an extra credit essay, AND he curves, there's no way you can fail. I got an A with moderate studying.

HE IS RIDICULOUS! This is a 1000 level class! He makes everything so difficult on his exams for no reason! His questions are tricky on purpose..when your class average is a failing grade it should be a sign that you are doing something WRONG.

He's a great teacher! I took him for BIO1 BIO2 and now Microbio, he is a fair grader, and he post tons of review stuff online to help you review for his exams. His lecture notes(and going to or listening to his lectures) are all you need for the test! If you don't make an A or B in this class then you are not putting in your part.

Pretty easy teacher. Didn't go to class instead I just watched his lectures online. I read the chapters before each of his lectures and studied the slides extensively before each test. He also posts review video lectures for each of his tests (very helpful). Quizzes are super easy. Received an A.

I warn you not to take Microbiology class with him. Don't look at any good comments below coz he visits this website and rates himself.Although I made a B+ the tests are very very tricky. If you dont understand lecture, you will fail.His classes are large and worthless because of his monotonous voice, you will feel sleepy.Good luck

He gives alot of material on the slides he puts on vnet, his lectures are also very imformative BUT when it comes to the tests just read the book because only like 10% comes out of what he lectures. I was very dissapointed in this class. I recieved my first F in college and I am a senior! Don't tke him! a waist of money.
