The people who say he sucks are idiots not actually wanting to learn physics but get away with doing as little as possible. He is willing to do anything to help his students who aren't slackers and after completing the class you will know physics on a very well. It is possible for anyone who puts in the effort to get a 4.0.

He's now a TA at UW and instructs at Shoreline CC. Ridiculous. Grading is absurd. Lectures so far have been useless towards homework problems, and requirements for lab reports are about as clear as mud. I've never seen so many people transfer out of a class during the first week.

I only survived a month or so in his class because I got put in calc phys instead of alg. phys like I was supposed to be but he was really awesome and I learned a lot even if I didn't learn enough to pass. I'd gladly take another class from him. Tough but fair

He's the best teacher ever. He always explain the lesson very clearly. He also encourages us to think which lead the lesson to be fun. I learned a lot of things in his class. I know more about science in the world because he can come up with basic phenomena in the world that I haven't ever thought about. A lot of homework, but his homework can lead

The people who say he is a terrible professor are dead wrong; chances are if you write comments like that, you don't put the effort required into your studying to understand the material. Jeff is hands down the best and most encouraging professor I've ever had. He'll even help you while hes chowing down on his lunch with the little downtime he has.

The BEST professor EVER at PC. I can always walk into his office for help. Explains things really well; grades fairly though most people disagree. Algebra-based wasn't half as hard as I'd originally heard, but it is tough. Likes to be called "Satan" but really is not. Teaches amazing critical thinking skills; makes you think for yourself. THE BEST!

This guy is a joke. If you ever need to take physics for your major wait and take it somewhere else. No matter if you show up everyday and study all night he is not willing to help you. He says he is not there to teach and he is right! Totally useless, doesn't even show up at his own labs!!!

Absolutely fantastic professor. You can tell this guy loves his job. Engineering physics is a difficult subject for most but Jeff's strong enthusiasm for his students and fun classroom environment make for a great learning experience. Study hard and show dedication and Jeff will be right there offering an equal amount of help to your effort.

He made it nearly impossible to pass the class. He refers to himself as Satan and I was beginning to believe him. At times was funny, but mostly difficult. He also pointed at you and made you answer even if you didn't know the answer he made you guess and put you in the unwanted center of attnention

The most frustrating online prof. His correspondence and involvement was a joke. Dysfunctional web links were common, and were not "HIS" problem. Inaccurate grading and inapplicable hw questions were the norm, and if YOU don't call him on the mistakes you wont receive your points. DO NOT expect to be taught by Zirul personally, it's text only.

good teacher and great class but I love astronomy so I might be a little biased. Pay attention and don't miss many days and read and study the book very hard.
