Bradburn himself is a great lecturer & always keeps the students engaged. People say you dont need to go to class but I say go since you're paying for it anyway & some TA's will take off points if you google the terms on the exam. Your grade entirely depends on your TA. I got A's on the tests but my TA would grade the papers harshly.

HIST 103A Taken for Credit:N/A Attendance: N/A Textbook Use: It's a must have Rater Interest: Sorta interested Grade Received: N/A

Very good professor. All work is graded by TA's which can be a bit subjective, but seemed fair. I ended up with an A in the class after a lot of work and studying, so if you are going to put in the work, the grade will come because it's a lot of memorization.

HIST 103 Taken for Credit:N/A Attendance: N/A Textbook Use: Barely cracked it open Rater Interest: It's my life Grade Received: N/A

His lectures are tailored toward taking his test so while you don't have to go, it'll help you so much when you can just copy and paste your notes on the study guide. Tests are easy, discussion is annoying you have to read a lot of books about one single event but only 3 five page essays so it's doable. he's a likeable guy and a very good lectuer

Not mandatory to go to class, but it helps! Puts his slides from lecture on Blackboard after class. Quirky sense of humor helps the class from seeming interminable. Gives you the questions to the midterm and final before the exam. TAs aren't especially hard graders during the semester.

HIST380 Taken for Credit:N/A Attendance: N/A Textbook Use: You need it sometimes Rater Interest: Low Grade Received: N/A

I thought I was going to fail this class, but I got a B-, so its definitely curved! He is so nice and funny, but the TA does ALL the grading and she graded us at grad level! Never got a grade higher than C+ and I'm usually really good at essays. Attendance is required and they take note if you participate, but I never did, got all Cs and got a B-

HIST103A Taken for Credit:N/A Attendance: N/A Textbook Use: Essential to passing Rater Interest: Sorta interested Grade Received: N/A

Thought he was very good lecturer. Very knowledgeable and explained things well. Puts all slide shows online. Discussion absolutely necessary. Make sure to read for them because you HAVE to participate. Tests not too hard, essays on easy topics, overall good class

Lecture not necessary, but he's a really good lecturer and since you pay for college you might as well go. Three papers, Midterm/Final, and Participation-- all graded by PhD candidate TA, mine was great, but others not so much. Tindall & Shi book definitely helpful for studying.

You never have to attend lecture in this class, and it is made in such as way that it makes no difference. Grade is 3 papers, midterm and final, and he gives you the possible questions beforehand in class. I like the classes' use of Becker book to include first-hand document investigation into this. All lectures are on Powerpt which he uploads

Seriously the best professor that I've had. He makes the class interesting, even if it's a seemingly boring topic. He sincerely wants his students to do well, but will not give them an easy way out. If you do the work, you'll get an A. It's not by any means an easy A, but you get what you deserve.

This is defiantly an upper-level class. A lot of reading ? mainly primary sources. Papers are difficult and require preparation. If you can keep up with the work, he's a great professor. He is funny, explains things well, and encourages discussion. Would be great for a lower-level course.
