I don't recommend taking this professor. He teaches the class at a fast pace and doesn't slow down. He expects you to know the material already. You won't learn anything at he pace he teaches

I took Professor Colvin for both accounting classes. The test are not extremely hard bu they do require the homework. Many homework examples are on the actual test. There is a substantial amount of homework invilved but it is necessary to understanding the topic. He was always available for questions during office hours to explain things further.

Professor Colvin is awesome at what he does. If you want to develop a much better understanding of accounting, take him. Tests are on blackboard and some are open notes and he posts practice tests. He teaches the subject with such ease. Well worth the money. He is very lenient, but don't piss him off.

He is crystal clear on the subject. He tells you exactly what you need to do to get a good grade. He even posts practice tests that give you all the questions on the real test. If you don't do well in his class it's because you didn't try. He gives a lot of homework. His jokes are extremely corny.

Very intense course - lots of homework, moves very fast. Colvin expects a lot from him students, but you WILL walk away from his class with a very firm grasp of accounting. He wants his students to do well, but he has no tolerance for laziness or apathy.

Class is not easy but professor Colvin is a very caring and wants the best for all his students. He is very knowledgeable. I recommend to learn Excel before attending to his class.

Rarely answers students questions. Boring class and talks forever! Really hard homework and gets impatient when students ask questions or don't understand. He doesn't want to lose class time by going back a few steps to help a student who doesn't understand so he says talk to him after class but he ends up losing half the class along the way.

very clear but not too much help outside of class...or even in sometimes... moves along too quickly....too much work to do in short time periods...1 quiz a week and test sometimes in same week. ACE center tutors known his students very well as the only accounting teacher that students need a ton of help for. No open book test too many random terms.

I have this guy right now, and all I can say is OMG. This guy is so annoying when it comes to the classroom. The the way he teaches is by doing everything on Excel. If you don't know Excel like me, then your screwed. This is an accounting class not Excel. I feel like you should take an Excel course just to understand what the he'll he is talking about. I have to say that he is really really nice and he definitely knows his stuff, but SLOW DOWN PROF! And I'm not the only one who has this problem

He is the best teacher I've ever had. I took 4 of his classes. He has high expectations but if you do the work you'll do well in his classes. He likes to mix up the class by doing different activities which such as group exercises and computer work. I have a very clear understanding of the subjects after taking his classes

Good professor, knows his stuff but does expect a lot. Gives a lot of homework and checks it every day. Class can be very boring!!!

Has high expectations of his students. Teaches clearly and remembers everyones names...gives homework every day but if you do it, it will help you towards the test. Very friendly with every student in the class. Good teacher! Over all accouting is hard and you have to work to earn a grade.

When you leave his class, you'll know your stuff. He has high expectations and is always there for his students. A class act!
