Great guy. Very nice. Always willing to help. The class was pretty easy and the final was extremely easy.

Really easy class. Great guy, very funny, and is very helpful outside of class. Final was particularly easy. Assignments are pretty fun and arent too bad. Sometimes the lectures can get boring and he often misunderstands students questions. Overall, it was a very solid class

Kollios isn't the best at explaining concepts, but the material is easy and the workload is light.

Great class, but the lectures are pretty boring. The programming assignments are fun, but the written assignments can be a grind as the lecture slides don't really go to in depth on what you are expected to know. The curve was pretty rough too. Good class, can definitely be taught a lot better.

classes were interesting at the beginning but got boring after a few weeks. projects were fun and time consuming, grading is harsher compared to other CS classes.

If you can go through his class and still want to be a Comp Sci major, points to you. He's a nice guy and he's funny, but he can't teach worth crap. The heavy Greek accent would be cool under any other circumstances, but it really doesn't help here. It's usually useless going to him for homework help. He usually doesn't even know what was assigned.

Gkollios is a pretty good teacher. He is very organized. You don't need the book at all as he teaches everything you need for the homework and tests, but don't miss a lecture. However, he sometimes doesn't see where students need clarification and often misinterprets questions. I think the coolest thing about the class is his heavy Greek accent.

From what I remember his class was easy. His lectures however where boring. You learn alot of useful things in the class though. You need to know databases for anything in this field. He doesnt seem like a very nice guy...

lectures are boring..., can't teach and he gets his test questions mostly from standford. if you wanna do well on the test, go search the standford website for tests from previous year.

can't teach at all, lecturers are boring and pointless. you are better off not attending any lectures and just by reading the book and do the project.

dont know if it is the teacher or the class but the beginning stuff is as boring as watching snow melt on the south pole
