BLAW 2001
He is a really nice guy. Although attendance is not mandatory, he does use class participation as a grade component. He will call on you weekly and if your not there he takes note of it. The subject was kind of hard. I would still recommend him.
Government
He contradicted himself seriously like 5 times when I went during his office hours. He's a nice guy and knows his stuff but I dont think he's meant to be a prof. Didn't even know what peer reviewing was! Ughhh He made me so frustrated.

Good Professor, test material comes directly from the textbook and lectures. You need to attend class to do well. Challenging exams but he is very clear and wants you to do well.

You will be challenged, but overall he is very clear with his expectations. Deviations will result in lower grades. Tests come almost directly from lecture, so attendance is important.

The way Jennings taught State and Local Government/Politics made it a more difficult 3xxx level class. Many things on the tests come from the lectures so take thorough notes, even on something that seems obscure! The tests (curved) are long and somewhat difficult.The term paper is quite easy as long as you stay on task and follow his paper "rules"

Tests are sorta difficult. Also had to write a paper (he is a picky when it comes to grammar) His lectures are pretty interesting and he encourages questions.

Take BLAW2001 from a different professor, he is ridiculous. You get an extra credit point for every irrelevant question you ask, even if it has absolutely NOTHING to do with the material, wasting a ton of time. I disagree with some people in saying that the tests are super easy if you go to class...I didn't touch the book.

Fantastic Teacher! This was by far the most interesting class I took this year. Tests were take home essay (stickler for good writing skills) and the paper/presentation was so much fun! Attendance isn't mandatory but he makes class so entertaining you cant help but want to go! Must do the readings. Would definitely recommend to everyone!!!!!!

Very interesting class. Grade consists of papers that are take home. Very picky when it comes to grammatical errors. Lectures based off class discussion, so dont expect to go and get notes off a power point. Overall, I would suggest this class and professor to anyone

Awesome teacher, you learn a lot. If you go to class and take notes you will do super good on the tests because the tests are literally his lectures. His examples are very helpful, make sure to write them all down because most of them show up on the tests. Awesome teacher and very interesting class. Enjoyed it a lot.

He is ok. He is sorta monotoned which gets annoying and he thinks he's funny. You NEED to participate and ask questions. Not a difficult class.

You must go to each class and listen to the lectures to do well on the tests, but if you really listen his lectures are awesome and very helpful. He really knows what he's talking about and has great examples. You will learn alot!

Mark is super funny! His exams are a bit difficult but he loves when you come to class and actively participate in the discussions-if you do this he will honestly give you a lot of extra credit. There was no homework except for one paper that was pretty pointless. His lecture can be boring but if you participate you will start to enjoy it!

Requires paper where you learn nothing. Also the test are hard if you don't go to class you need to go to class reading the text book isn't enough

Worse prof I've ever had. Learned nothing. Required papers to be in 14 point font (minus 10 if it wasn't). Got to choose between two different formats on the final and he included both multiple choice portions of the two different forms into my final which brought my grade down a whole letter grade. No clue how he still has a job. Horrible.

Very good professor. Although attendance isn't required, test questions are based off of what he goes over in class. I never read the book and was able to do well just by my notes from his lectures. He makes Business Law interesting -- I'd recommend him

One of the most boring classes I have ever taken in my life. If you can avoid it, you should. Arguing all hour. Pointless. And definitely the only college prof that requires 14 pt font on papers.
