Grading is completely arbitrary but probably dependent on how much brown-nosing you do and how many stupid questions you ask so that she may answer you in some weird analogy. She has a 15 page syllabus and not one page details the grading rubric, but there is a paragraph on her restroom policy; she counts how many times you go so pee before class.

No direction and that's the same with the grading system too! We're to work with a client and atty but grading is based on what she thinks and contrary to what she says- she does NOT talk to the atty to see how you're doing. She's lying and NEVER responses to emails! The possibility of getting a C in a class like this, is STUPID! should be pass/fai

Clinic was the best education I have had in Law school so far. Great hands on experience drafting docs for a divorce. I know I could go out tomorrow and draft original pleadings, and final decrees for divorces. Makes you go and find the answer and do 6-7 drafts of each doc, but in the end it was worth it.

What grading system? There is a total lack of direction in this course and grading is totally subjective. There is some value to the course, but the lack of clarity outweigh it...for me at least. If you really want to take it, try and do it pass/fail.

luke is moody and inconsistant with her expectations. one minute she tells you that you're doing well, working hard, and putting in a great effort, but the next minute she threatening you with a low grade because she hasn't seen you in 24 hours. HUH?grading isn't fair or even understandable with this lady.

If you want one of the A's, be the first one at the clinic in the morning AND the last one to leave at night--EVERY TIME. If you aren't on Betty's radar when she walks the halls, in Betty's mind you aren't working. No matter if you're surfing**** or reading the N.Y. Times--make sure you're sitting in one of the clinic chairs while you're doing it.

This clinic was exceptionally helpful, insightful, and worth all of the hard work. I can open up a limited practice on just what I learned there. Regarding grades though, Betty prefers the slick (aka slime) to the sincere hardworker. Brown-nosing gets rewarded. My advice is to maintain your dignity and let the experience be the ultimate reward.
