His grading system for my Linc class was so stupid... I missed 2 out of about 50 .. & the 2 i missed included pre-writing and a little online reading thing... i could have not hannded in 2 final drafts and still get the same grade). he said that I could only get a C because of those 2 little assignments. Like what? But all my work had better quality than half of the class. He's easy to talk to and respects people's thoughts and I guess he wants to help but his grading system was WAY off.

He does not grade for quality-he grades based on if you have everything in (helpful to get good grades but useless to learn anything constructive). He can come off rude and if he does not like you, you will not do well. His grading system is bogus (a 96 was a C on our last paper) and he doesn't count extra credit unless you have everything in

He is sometimes vague on what he wants in assignments, but I like the interactive value of the class and the topics that we discuss. It's never lecture based, always student centered. Dr. Wingard is also very willing to help if you ask and it's definitely worth it too. He's very personable and understanding as well. :)

Great guy, a bit quirky, but he will help you in great detail if you ASK. His directions can be vague sometimes, so ASK..something that may require too much effort of a typical Moco student trying to skate by. Put the effort forth and you'll walk away with at least a B, regardless of what kind of writer you are.

Dr. Wingard is a challenging professor. He makes you work hard which I think is a good thing. I have learned so much from his class. I don't go to Moravian; I actually took this class as a high school student for dual enrollment and I don't regret one bit of it! I think students don't like to work hard for good grades therefore, dislike this professor. The class helped us transform our writing skills to a whole new level. Without Dr. Wingard, I wouldn't consider myself a good writer :)

Dr. Wingard is actually really helpful - he's respectful of students' ideas and really willing to work with his students in terms of helping understand material and prepare for papers - he's a fair grader but always willing to take a look at your work before its due

I never though that other classes have noticed his tongue thing, but it makes sense. He goes off on these insane rants that have nothing to do with what we're talking about. And he sends out emails with words like "prolly" and "yall." It's pretty bad.
Irish myth
I hate this man. He's a large portion of the reason that I left Moravian. They ought to fire him - he's just simply the worst professor I have ever had the misfortune of working with.
Journalism
Wingard was the worst professor I had at Moravian. He neglected aspects of journalism that were not part of his interests, i.e. sports. Negative attitude towards some of his students and just an all-around jerk.
