| 12/25/09 | LAW501 | 2 | 1 | 2 | 4 | Prof. Polikoff hides the ball, it is very hard to know what she wants. Forget reading the text, just skim the cases for the important stuff and read Glannon. | ||||
| 1/22/08 | civprSECT | 2 | 4 | 4 | 4 | I thought Professor Polikoff was fair, concise and wanted her students to succeed. I thought she did a good job. She's not easy but that's okay. | ||||
| 11/6/07 | LAW101 | 1 | 5 | 5 | 3 | She's one of the most amazing/brilliant legal minds I've ever come across! | ||||
| 1/25/07 | civpro | 3 | 2 | 4 | 3 | Had her F05 & S06. Key points: Socratic (but goes in alphabetic order); grades the final with wacky varying grade ranges (e.g. 41/100=B, 50=B, 53=A-). Competent, and tries to be friendly, with group bagel brunch, but can come off as a bit prickly. Too much time spent on broad notions of DP that drain time from more useful, pratical FRCP issues. | ||||
| 10/18/05 | Civ Pro I | 2 | 4 | 4 | 3 | This class scared me the most, but Polikoff is very good. She is thorough and clear. Uses the Socratic method (unlike most other 1L profs at WCL), but goes in alphabetical order so you know when your turn is up. She's good & the cases are suprisingly interesting. She can sometimes be a bit short and antagonistic, but for the most part is nice. | ||||
