He had clear expectations for exams and he gives two days or lab quizzes to be turned in for conflicts. The lectures gave necessary material only, I never had to guess what would show up on an exam. He is a very nice, helpful,and sometimes humorous guy, so take him as your first choice! He allows 2side notesheets for exams which helps a lot.

Scott Roths was extremely helpful outside of class. Lecture was boring and I got easily distracted by his good looks. Occassionally he would crack a good joke, sometimes with a smile. Easy A.

Lectures are boring, I almost never went. Labs are pretty easy, just find a friend and work together. Tests are overall not that hard, he lets you put whatever you want on a 2 sided note sheet. Such a nice guy and will explain things however much you need him too. Love this guy

don't even bother getting the book, i still haven't taken it out of the shrink wrap. compared to other stat profs his labs/quizzes/tests are much easier plus he doesn't assign mandatory homework, he is a really nice guy but i can never pay attention during lecure; easy A

His class is very boring, but helpful. Have to finish quizzes based on lab assignments, which are very annoying. But TA is very helpful. Tests are not hard, but some questions are really tricky. Each question worths 5 pts, so if you don't well on test it will be miserable. There is a group project so you need to have hardworking group members.

His classes were extremely boring and he just went over examples in the book. Class was somewhat mandatory, there were clicker quesitons but many of them were dropped. Labs were actually a bit annoying and some were pretty hard but luckily my TA knew what she was doing. It wasn't terrible but it was just boring and he wasn't that much help

Overall was a fun class. Lectures could be boring at times but if you put effort into the class you'll be fine.

Content is really hard but the class itself wasn't too bad. Quizzes were really hard but not worth a lot. Completion grade for assignments. Tests were a lot easier than quizzes. Final exam was really easy as well if you review the tests and quizzes before taking it. The book is horrible and content is hard but the professor aint so bad.

Amazing professor! Very knowledgable and his explanations are always interesting. Don't miss him if you really want to learn!

His lectures were very boring. The labs were the only thing you need to go to. The first two tests were easy, but the last two tests were rather difficult.I would suggest taking another professor if you have the choice.

Love him. Most everyone thought this class was boring, I found it really neat. Scott reads right out of the book, but it makes it easy to follow for this class. I also found him awkwardly funny. He's young too, and really willing to help out.

ALL STAT TEACHERS READ OFF POWERPOINTS, there are 300 people in the class. Can't stand people complaining about this guy. He curved 3/4 tests, by a lot. Gave extra assignments to improve grades. He also really does consider your feedback. I would recommend him to anyone. You have one homework assignment a week. Just put your time in for the test

He is a very nice man. Willing to help you if you don't understand. Yes lectures are boring, and he does read off the slides, but outside of that he is very willing to help. Curves tests if he doesn't like the average, and responds to emails very fast. Other professors are far worse for stat. Take it with him!

Lecture is super boring! All he does is read off the power points, puts the whole class to sleep! Try to avoid taking this professor at all costs!

Okay, if you've never taken stats before you will probably have no idea whats going on because he just reads off the powerpoint. does give you opportunities to improve your grade with extra hw assignments and lab quizzes and will curve tests when the average is below 75

I don't know what everyone is talking about. This guy is the most useless professor ever. reads straight from the PP's and doesn't show up to lab periods. Terrible.

very good teacher. Helpful. He always gives extra office hours before tests. He even answered my question my E-mail late at night once. LOL
