Very frustrating to listen to in class. Assigns pointless readings about weird belief systems and then holds discussions on them in class. Lectures feel like he is trying to persuade you to believe what he does.

Dr. Meusse was very educated in his field. The lectures and discussions were always interesting. However, it was very easy to get behind or confused in his class. Random quizzes were given& we had a lot of papers to write. He was very picky about content and style of papers; hard paper grader. Nonetheless, he was flexible & understanding. Great!

The man. Always willing to help. Pretty easy A if you disscuss with him how you feel about the material he is teaching. Talk to him before and after, papers and tests. That will show him you care about the class. Talking in class is just as important as going to see him. Class is fun, enjoyed it every time I've taken him (3x)

Amazing teacher and person! Seeing him around campus makes my day. Very intelligent, loves his subject, cares about students, takes his job seriously. He sincerely wants you to learn and grow from his class.

Very good teacher. Quirky at times, but always with good intentions. Very hard on grammar. One of the first classes I have ever had that I can say has definitely increased my writing ability. Wording is key on papers -- Don't be vague!! He has 12 pop quizzes but you can drop two. (offers bonus sometimes as well). His Ph. D says it all -- Harvard.

One day I will use my religious studies major to start a cult to the worship of Professor Mark W. Muesse. Great man, great professor, great classes. Always open to different ideas for papers and genuinely cares about his students.
