Be prepared to teach yourself accounting. If you are like me and this is completely new material,you will struggle. She is rude and will try to embarass you. Spends more of the class talking about herself and telling you that you will fail than teaching accounting. I had a 4.0 until this class...

Just like others have said, she's not helpful, you're expected to learn it yourself, and she spends more time telling you you're going to fail than actually teaching accounting. Granted, half the class dropped out but it IS passable. Do the homework and read the chapters and you WILL pass!

The daily quizzes are ridiculous to prepare for if you are working while in school. The quizzes are 1 or 2 questions, sometimes over very specific parts of the chapter. Unless you are able to grasp everything to the fullest extent very quickly, then don't bother. Good test are brought down by bad quiz scores. She's also not helpful at all in class

She is a very nice and happy lady, and I think she means well but teaching is not for her. She doesn't teach, she talks about how awesome she is and how you're not going to pass. Kind of depressing. She favors, which is okay but it shows up in the gradebook; which isn't okay. You learn a lot of things in class, just not anything related 2 accountin

This woman is ridiculous. She graded unfairly, she was no help with questions but she sure expected you to become a tax attorney like her. Shes the reason I'm no longer a business major because I DON'T want to be like her. Myself as well as almost everyone else thought the class was incomprehensible.

Love Her! I had her twice, it IS a difficult class, but it is possible to excel. You don't know what to expect on the quizzes, which makes them difficult, but usually a few are dropped. She loves teaching, and is a phenomenal person and professor. I would consider one lucky to have her, just don't get discouraged by the level of difficulty.

Members of my class had quite a few problems with this professor. There were quite a few grading biases reported. She requires that you read the walstreet journal for class. One student told her before class that he was having trouble getting his paper. She purposely called on him the same day he told him to present that days article. Failed him

This is by far the most difficult class you will take. If u want a good grade, choose a different professor.

Was not the most helpful professor but is a very smart lady. I learned a lot from her. A lot of learning is done on your own.

Christiansen is one of my all time favorite professors. If you go to class and pay attention to what she says you will at least get a B. The tests are exactly like the homework. Very nice lady too.

She's tough, but she knows what she's talking about. I took three different classes from her and learned a lot in each. By far, it was the most writing I had to do, but it pushed me to do more than I thought I could.

Be prepared to teach yourself accounting. Anything in the "covered" text could be on the test, regardless of whether or not it was explained or assignded as a practice problem. Grades are based on tests and participation. Participation requires constant answering of questions in order to receive credit. Class time consists of very little teaching.
