Anthr230 Taken for Credit:N/A Attendance: N/A Textbook Use: Barely cracked it open Rater Interest: Really into it Grade Received: N/A

NEVER TAKE THIS CLASS UNLESS YOU MUST! Dr Elliott is a horrible, boring professor. She takes attendence at lecture, which is much more her own personal story telling than an actual lecture. I learned nothing from this course. The service leaning requirement requires massive time and work. Seriously, I've never hated a course so much as this.

This class will put you to sleep. She is unbelievably boring to listen to. However, if you read the books, you'll do fine on the tests. Lots of extra cred opp. on tests. Her papers are easy too. Take her if you need it. If not, save yourself the boring-ness!

Ignore prior comments. This is a great professor. Yes, she lectures (it's college...imagine that!)but her exams are based on lecture and text material. No surprises. She does show films, but they fit the subject. Highly recommend.

Anth101 Taken for Credit:N/A Attendance: N/A Textbook Use: You need it sometimes Rater Interest: Sorta interested Grade Received: N/A

it is really hard to follow her lectures. She talks really quiet and just rambles on and on. It is hard to determine what is useful information and what is not. Really hard to understand, even sitting in the 3rd row

ANTH230 Taken for Credit:N/A Attendance: N/A Textbook Use: Barely cracked it open Rater Interest: Sorta interested Grade Received: N/A

The lecture is really long and boring, and doesn't seem like it relates to anything, but it does. listen to the lecture because the examples she uses are really useful for the test. lots of movies. super nice prof.

This professor gives so much irrelevant lecture that you sometimes feel it's a 4 hour "share personal stories" counseling session rather than an anthro class.

this class was horrid...like most other comments, she is a terribly boring teacher....whats more it was a night class from 6-9:30 (with recitation) and I usually brought a movie to watch during lecture....the tests are difficult but the study guides help a considerable amount...not an easy A by any means

ANTH 230 Taken for Credit:N/A Attendance: N/A Textbook Use: N/A Rater Interest: It's my life Grade Received: N/A

It seems like her lectures have nothing to do with anything, but they do. No need to read the books. The tests are super easy as long as you remember a few of her stories and pretend to connect them to the concepts. It's a bit boreing but an easy A. She nice and basically there is a movie every other class time.

Anthro 101 Taken for Credit:N/A Attendance: N/A Textbook Use: N/A Rater Interest: Really into it Grade Received: N/A

This class was horrible to sit through. I honestly did not learn anything useful. Her lectures were very long and the material covered in class was not even on the tests.

anthro 101 Taken for Credit:N/A Attendance: N/A Textbook Use: N/A Rater Interest: Sorta interested Grade Received: N/A

Class difficulty is so-so. Lectures are boring and attendance is important. Usually watch movies which were interesting and complemented material.

I would disagree with the previous GA comment. This class was well taught, the professor lectures well (though a lot). The GA was very helpful, I was always bugging him with questions, especially via email, and he always replied. Never a problem. The review sessions were helpful and you got points just for showing up!

I would not suggest anyone take an anthro class taught by her.Or should I say her terrible GAs!She should stick to gerontology and leave anthro alone.Prob. is no interest in Ger. dept..was brought under anthro so faculty would still have jobs. Should cut program like they did Interior Design or put under Social Work.
