I took her Ancient Art class. I had never taken an art class before and jumped right into a 300 level class. I found the class very interesting and easy as well. As long as you do the required reading you should be fine. I did hear from the students that have had her before that her tests are hard but I didn't have to take any in this class.

The most difficult class I've ever taken. 20+ pages of notes. 100 level class is same as 300 level. I would not recommend this class to anyone.

She is a phenomenal teacher and she has an extraordinary wealth of experience to share, but she might very well be the most anal-retentive person alive.

Dr. Janzen is a great professor. She really knows what she is talking about- she loves what she does and it shows. She is always willing to meet with students to help them with their work. The class is not simple- be prepared to work to get the grade.
