Hist 111 Taken for Credit:N/A Attendance: Not Mandatory Textbook Use: What textbook? Rater Interest: Meh Grade Received: A

I heard he used to be an awesome professor when he was younger. He went to Princeton and is very knowledgeable. However, now he is old and does not interact with students. There are no powerpoints, no written notes, no structure. You just write down what he says. There were 5 easy "your opinion" writing assignments. His class was easy but BORING.

HIST 112 Taken for Credit:N/A Attendance: N/A Textbook Use: Barely cracked it open Rater Interest: Sorta interested Grade Received: N/A

Dr. Hitchcock was a very easy, yet very boring teacher. I earned an A in the class because I literally wrote down every word he said when discussing different history topics. As long as you take consistent notes, it's a very easy class. I never studied from the book once.

HIST112 Taken for Credit:N/A Attendance: N/A Textbook Use: Essential to passing Rater Interest: Low Grade Received: N/A

Terrible teacher. He does not use technology in his lectures, but simply walks around and spurts his knowledge from memory. Impressive, but awful to learn from or take notes. In a class of 150, if he hears even 1 student whispering, he will stop his lecture and stare that person down until he or she stops. He even moved 2 students 1 class period.

HIST111 Taken for Credit:N/A Attendance: N/A Textbook Use: Essential to passing Rater Interest: Really into it Grade Received: N/A

Great professor! Class is easy. Doesn't take attendance but come to class because all of the stuff on the Midterm came from class notes. 3 papers, midterm, and final make up your grade and it's easy to do well as long as you put in some effort. Really knows his stuff!

He is VERYY boring. Sits at his desk the entire time and talks. It is very difficult to not fall asleep, or do something else on your computer. Basically you read the chapters on your own, you have a short quiz on each chapter that consist of about 5-6 important words in the chapter. Then he talks about the chapter for 2-3 days. There are 6 essays.

Hist112 Taken for Credit:N/A Attendance: N/A Textbook Use: It's a must have Rater Interest: Low Grade Received: N/A

Very boring teacher. Talks entire class. Bring laptop and take notes because he talks fast. Def. go to discussion section because they review everything in lecture. 2 tests- Midterm(35% of grade), Final(50%) and 3 papers(15%). Tests aren't too hard and if you have a good TA your set.

Sure he lectures like an old style professor but he is really knowledgeable about what he lectures. Lecture attendance is not mandatory but don't forget to go to discussion. midterm, final, and 3 opinion papers. If you love history it's a guaranteed A as long as you put in the effort!

Very clear, but slightly dull lectures. Definitely still attend though, since it's better reviewing two pages of notes than 30 pages in the textbook for tests.

One of the best professor I have had. He just talks the entire time, so it can get a little boaring, but he knows so much and makes history interesting. Requires alot of reading but if you do the reading and attend his lectures you will do fine

He looks mean but he is actually nice if you pay attention and participates. He is an old man with a PhD from Princeton and knowns a lot, but he is SO boring. Read the book because he uses it in class. 3 2 page essays about the CD from the book, 3 essay test with 10 vocab words.
