He puts a lot of work into making the class valuable to the students, and it shows. He also knows how to code (quite) well, which you can see by some of his rankings on the UVA pages. The only minor downside is his tendency to code in a C/Unix style, which can be hard to follow for some. | ||

Professor Glenn Downing consistently shows he is dedicated to his students and the class content. I am very surprised he is just a lecturer and not a big time professor. Don't let your partner do your programming assignment. Ask questions even if they are stupid. Keep up with reading even if you have to stay up an extra three hours after you are su | ||
