I really enjoyed taking my internship class with professor Alle-Corliss. She made the class fun and totally understood how hard it is for a student that also works full-time. She was sympathetic and considerate, when it came to having to turn in assignments towards the end of the semester. Her tests were not hard and her projects were fun.

Very little book use until the take-home final. Very warm person/good sense of humor. Wants you to learn

a teacher with twenty-plus years of experience in many social work settings. She thoroughly explains the material with open discussions. Take notes and study for the in-class mid-term. The take-home final is a doozy. Don't start it the day before it's due. Big mistake.

Great instructor. She has a very discussion style of teaching. Uses real experiences to emphasis topic. Used book very little. Grade based on papers, midterm, presentation, and final. I truly enjoyed her class and would take her again.

Rambling boring lectures consisting of overhead projector only with text too small to read from across the room. Inproptu long essays required on subjects NOT taught in her class. Did not stay on task. Revised the syllibus twice. Disorganised in general and unclear in her expectations for the homework writing assignments.

Prof. Alle-Corliss is very down to earth and "student-friendly." We do quite a bit of "role-playing" so be prepared. Also, her quizzes are more like midterms so pay attention during class & make sure you do the assinged reading. The material itself isn't difficult, and she is more than willing to answer any questions.

This class was pretty easy. She had A LOT of papers though! Gave two quizzes and graded pretty fairly on them. You have to attend class because there is a lot of group discussion. At times she seems disorganized and a little annoying because she talks about her personal life a lot, but overall this is an easy A class.

Great teacher, but overworked for an internship class. Too many papers, midterm and final. Exams hard, lengthy, essays plus multiple choice. Grades hard. I personally would not recommend her for internship. Excellent for HURS 380.

Great professor. Provides a lot of examples to help you remember the material....however, a lot of the material covered in this first internship class is very redundant with other husr classes, especially husr 201 and 310. However, she's nice, knowledgeable, and approachable. Midterm and Final exam are long though and involve a lot of writing!!
