Dr. Morris knows he is smart, which makes class educational, but not easy to listen to. For an entry level philosophy class, I put into the effort for a 4000 class. Wants perfect essays, papers, and has an obscured perfectionist grading scale. Powerpoints is info for test, but you have to be able to connect all ideas perfectly or else automatic B.

I will be going to law school in the next few years so I took Philosophy of Law and it's terrible. I'm not afraid of hard work and I put a great deal of effort into this class and Morris doesn't care. He has made up his mind that most people will get a B regardless of effort. I have never worked so hard to have my efforts totally unrewarded.

Morris is a card carrying conservative Catholic rhetoric professor. Most of his class is about regurgitating his own rhetoric back to him in essay format. If you are pro-life, anti euthanasia, and anti stem cell research take this class. If not, STAY AWAY. He is one sided and does not want any other view presented aside from his.

A good teacher but grades very tough. He wants perfection in his essays with limited time to write them.

Dr. Morris is one of my favorite teachers at Rockhurst! He's interesting, even to someone not real into philosophy. He's really helpful, and provides his powerpoints, review sheets, and study guides online. You don't even need to take notes, you can just use his powerpoint and add comments.

Dr. Morris is one of the few teachers who I would say is actually unfair. He is bright, the problem is he knows it. He rambles boringly, grades too tough, and is not a likeable man.

Philosophy has always been hard fo rme and even i thought that he did an exceptionally good job at explaining it. He is very clear, and doesn't try to trick you in any way.
