He is a good professor that wants the best for his students. He does talk a lot and sometimes it gets boring, but he is very helpful and cares a lot about his students. He grades fairly and you can always redo the work to improve your grade. He is easy to approach and have a regular conversation with.

I wasn't the biggest fan of this class, but he was a good professor. This class dragged on with discussion (mostly from him) and it got very tiring. He knows his stuff though, and it's a doable class. It's not an easy grade, but if you do all the work and his requirements, you'll do fine!

He is a wonderful teacher that expect the most from his students. the class is based on the full participation of EVERYONE in class because everyone always has many different experiences. i mentored for another one of his classes and the responses in this class was completely different from the ones in my original class. don't expect an easy grade!

I absolutely love this guy. He is so sweet and extremely knowledgeable. While the concepts are tough, he is always available in office hours and welcomes students to meet with him. His feedback is well-written and helpful. If you're looking for an easy grade this is not the class to take, but you will learn a TON!

He is VERY helpful. No deadlines. Only an Oral Presentation, Topic paper, 1st and Final draft for this class. The papers are very challenging and he is accurate with his grading! Overall, good class.

Anybody who has anything bad to say about this professor is an idiot who probably shouldn't be in college (and especially shouldn't be a sociology major). I can't stress how much I've learned and how much I've been inspired. He's EXTREMELY helpful, insightful and clear in his grading. My interest in sociology is more than energized thanks to him.

This is a course you should be passionate about before taking it with him. You must do ever scrap of reading (and there are several readings) to understand what he is talking about. Believe me he talks... and talks... and talks. Not an easy grader, strict on attendance. But you do get to see a few good clips of movies and documentaries.

His class was not a cakewalk but if you did the reading it was easy to understand. He pushed you to think like a sociologist, so for those who are looking to cruise through for the credit, forget it. I learned alot and my paper ended up much longer than required because I found I had a lot to say and grew from the experience.Worth the effort.

Great Professor! Insightful, Provocative, Challenging. Teaches you to apply sociology to your own life & to question your own assumptions about life. Has high standards for paper, but requirements are CLEARLY spelled out in syllabus. P.S. your cell shouldn't go off in class...grow up.
