What a disappointing professor. First, his class is very monotone and boring. The notes rarely correspond with the textbook, and his tests are extremely poorly worded and contain some mistakes. The worst part about this professor was his unwillingness to work with the students on any occasion, and lack of desire for wanting students to do well.

I was a straight A student and busted my butt studying in his class and attended every lab and lecture. I took notes and studied hours and days for his exams. No matter how much I understood and knew the material I could not ace his exams. Maximum Bs on his exams. HARD EXAMS! Asked for help, still didn't help w. exams.

Guys take this class with any professors BUT HIM !!! Although he is a nice man but sometimes rude and disrespectful towards the students e.g if is any thing related to exam or paper. The text book was very easy and i but he made itconfusing with his lectures, he does not have clear explaination if you ask him a question. VERY HARD EXAMS

Super nice guy, and he really wants you to do well in class. The material was not terribly exciting, but he used various exercises to help us understand the concepts. Tests were challenging--he gives PowerPoints, but you need to go to class anyway just so you don't miss something important.

Takes for ever to grade the paper! Tests can be worded tricky but straight from his lectures. Uses his own knowledge and doesn't go from the book.PP are not exactaly what was discussed in class so take notes.

He is a good teacher, but you have to go to class. He tends to look poorly on those who do not ocme, even though attendence is not required. He is strict on the paper (no quoting, no paraphrasing, etc) but the tests aren't bad.

Great teacher and pressure-free class. One paper, and 4 tests with the lowest dropped. He offers study guides and review sessions, so overall if you put effort into the class, you can come out with a good grade. He's very nice and respectful. I enjoyed his class.

Although the topic can be boring Dr. P does his best to make it interesting. Use his study guides and review the handouts and you will pass without much effort. Don't by the book - not worth it unless you have not background in Cognition.

This class was challenging for someone without any background in experimental programming, but he took the time to make sure all concepts were understood.

Fantastic teacher! And you are correct--he does not grade on effort, he grades on work quality. Which, if you ever actually make it to the real world, is how you will be graded. The only people still graded for their 'effort' are little children in elementary school. By the way, you might want to check out how to spell!

He is a good teacher, but the class is very boring! I wish I would've taken the learning/memory instead. This just isn't what I'm interested in. His exams are good if you study. The lab was horrible b/c it was taught by a grad stud. and she contradicted herself a lot a was VERY unfair with grading the papers. I only took the class b/c I had to.

Do NOT take unless u have to! I've never been so stressed with school: I attended every lab and every class, took notes, read the book, studied and still had to pull teeths to have a B for the class. He is not understanding at all will tell u that " u r not graded based on ur effort"!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Very clear in his lectures and tests are fair. I only used the book if I really didn't understand a point in lecture. Earned a B in the class. Drops lowest test score, so if you do well on the first three you don't have to take the final (or at least we didn't).

This class was so horrible. It was boring to sit for an hour and 15 minutes and listen to him. The tests are not easy, difficult to follow along with lectures.

Dr. Peterson lectures off the PowerPoint, which he posts on his web site. His lectures are kind of boring too. I never read the book - just went to class & studied the notes.. got an A in the class. There are 4 exams (mult. choice & short answer) & 1 essay.
