Economics is this guy's passion, and he strives to provide the best experience for his students. He makes sure everything is low stress and clear. We didn't strictly use the text book other than a glance every so often. Most of the grade was based on 7 "quests" which held less weight than exams but more weight than a quiz and were pretty easy, take him

Norm is literally the man. He is extremely passionate about the subject. People who complain about him are either mentally challenged or simply are not meant to do economics/math beyond the arithmetic level.

Absolutely terrible teacher. Class makes very little sense, and usually when this occurs you think you might stop by for office hours...well good luck doing that because Norman has office MINUTES. His posted office hours are 30 minutes long and of no help. Class is beyond boring and he makes no attempt to relate the material to anything interesting

Nice guy who understands that economics is not for everyone, though his class is extremely difficult for those students. Holds review sessions, but they're just Q&A or reviewing last semester's test. Also doesn't use the book in class (would help if he did). Great class if you love economics, but look for another teacher if it's not your "thing."

i have no idea how people are giving him good ratings, unless they are naturally good at economics. THE WORST teacher i've ever had. goes on rants about graphs or something of the sort, and tests have nothing to do with them and are impossible. you're better off skipping class and staying home to read the book. RUN AS FAR AWAY AS POSSIBLE.

EC103 Taken for Credit:N/A Attendance: N/A Textbook Use: What textbook? Rater Interest: Low Grade Received: N/A

DO NOT. I REPEAT. DO NOT. take this class if you are not very good at economics!!! the tests are impossible and have nothing to do with the class lectures. he is very knowledgeable and passionate about econ however he is not very clear about everything. Unless you are planning on majoring in econ i would recommend not to taking this class

He is very knowledgeable about economics but doesn't do a good job explaining it. You can tell that he is passionate about economics. Homeworks are graded unfairly and tests are very hard. Reading the book is more important that attending his lectures.
