Offers extra credit and second chances. Nice dude, but sometimes too nice. Very cool to talk to. Perhaps the only professor I would take an Asian Studies course from.
Nice guy. Enjoyable class, but a little difficult. If you're doing a lot of reading in other classes, I don't recommend taking this class. Very critical when it comes to papers, don't be surprised to get a C on papers if you're a good writer. Quizzes were hard, short answers, and VERY specific. You would need to remember phrases from certain pages.
If you actually want to learn something, please take Miguel Llora's class. He really knows what he's talking about. He's well versed in Asian Studied and he has a passion for the study, which is what make the class valuable. He honestly cares about his students and wants to see them learn the material. And awesome teacher, mentor and friend.
