HIST1108
I know its early in the mornin, but I'd like some clarity w/my coffee. 1/2 way into the course and we still have no focus.
HIST2119
Waited a year to take it with her, 'cause I heard the other guy was harder. Definitely not worth the wait. Unclear, unorganized, and useless. I want a refund.
HIST1501
Never, ever again. She does not make legible notes and is completely scattered -- always. It did not motivate me to succeed at all.
HIST4000
took multiple classes with Prog Murphy. she is very disorganized and scatterbrained but one of the nicest and brilliant leaders in her field of study. if you talk to her after class or email her she is very helpful at clearing up any confusion. look past her appearance and really pay attention in class and you will really learn. excellent professor
HIST2124
Multiple classes canceled. Multiple assignments "lost" in the office. I left this class knowing less about history and fiction than when I started. Lectures were unclear. Assignments were vague. Did not at all prepare me for MTEL--the reason I took the course.
Hist1109
Knows her material but really has no business teaching a class. So disorganized and scatterbrained its almost scary. The syllabus became useless 2 weeks into the course because we were so far behind. She lost numerous assignments, some worth major grades. Would never take a class with her again
HIST1109
She is so disorganized! its the end of the semester and we are at lest 5 chapters behind. Takes forever to hand back exams. And when she writes on the board its all over the place, she writes like 1 word from a random thought she had. She just makes no sense sometimes.
Hist1109
Extremely unorganized! It is impossible to take notes in her class. She relies heavily on the text book for information. You have to read and take notes on the chapter otherwise you wont know whats going on in the class. Also likes to give pop quizzes a lot
HIST2124
A genius with a scatterbrain - she knows so much it spills over. If you get to know her, do readings, look up/know historical context of the readings, and look up/know writers relative to the readings, she will make sense. Most benevolent prof. at Emmanuel. Often gets behind schedule and you will miss class, but TAKES ATTENDANCE.
HIST1108
She is extremely unorganized and taking notes in her class is impossible. Reading the text guarantees you an A. World history is NOT her area of expertise considering how many names of historical figures she mispronounced.
HIST1101
Professor Murphy is extremely nice and very helpful. She'll give you extensions on papers if you need them, and is very approachable. However, she is also extremely disorganized. It is very hard to write notes in her class since the whiteboard looks like a hurricane hit it.
Hist1109
I will admit she can be frustrating, but she is more than fair for those who don't even try. She will not return anything to you on time, so don't expect her to. She canceled a class early on and we were off track for the rest of the term, so continue asking about due dates for papers and such.
HIST1109
a little scatter-brained but extremely nice. she definitely knows a lot about history and she is willing to help people and is extremely flexible. there are only a few tests and 5 quizzes and she drops the lowest grades.
HIST1106
If she could stay on one topic and actually teach well, she'd be good. But she can't and so she's not good.
hist1109
Prof. Murphy is great. I enjoyed having her. She often gets sidetracked but that's fine, she has a great sense of humor. The tests are not hard if you go to class and read the textbook. Overall this class was a great experience.
