Prof. Hoffman's Business Strategy class is a must take. Be prepared though to attend every class as he will expect you to be there - no exceptions! The capstone simulation he uses in class is challenging and rewarding. He is approachable and fair. Readings are relevant and prof. Hoffman uses contemporary cases to augment lectures.

He is a great professor. You can learn a lot of things from him! He offers a clear view on strategy that is very unseful in real life situations.

Great class. Brought together lots of stuff, in a way that would really help us succeed in our respective fields. You can see he's taught on this subject for a long time, and has kept up with the relevant trends.

Interesting perspective on Global Strategy and entertaining as well. You will learn a lot about why businesses do what they do. If you have the chance, take his class.

Old school lecture and note taking with pen and paper. You will be challenged. Really interesting guy that brings relevant stories and experiences to the classroom. Follow his lead, then find ways to go beyond. IMHO best professor at Bentley.

Great professor. His lectures are absolutely fantastic and quite interesting. He's a tough grader, and as already mentioned you can't rely solely on the lectures to get by. He's very funny and fair. I really enjoyed his class.

You will learn more in this class with Hoffman than any other MBA class. If you're a GPA die-hard, than seek someone else, but if you really want something memorable take Professor Hoffman.

Highly recommended. Great Prof, extremely helpful. Good sense of humor (although he may seem intimidating at first). Knows what he's talking about. Test is straight forward as long as you attend lectures (takes attendence every class) & take notes; you do not really need to read any of the books. Overall, amazing class; one of the best at Bentley!

An interesting McCallum grad school experience. Heavy emphasis on textbooks, but doesn't discuss much of them during the lecture, but expects that you will have full knowledge of the content for the exam. Can't disagree with him on exams, or you'll lose points. Exams are otherwise easy, because you just have to parrot back everything in lecture.

My best learning experience at Bentley College. His class is full of rich relevant examples and therefore has a practical touch. And his shrudness, goes well with his teaching of Global Strategy.

His lectures are chock full of rich examples and interesting stories that make the time go by so fast. Tells you what to expect on mid-term, and final exam is a case with open book/notes. Group project is a lot of work, but not too bad if you've got a decent group.
