AMAZING professor. She's the best. She gave a lot of reading, but they were all super interesting so I didn't mind doing it. She's also not the easiest grader but she's amazingly smart and will help you out. She really cares about her students.

Absolutely loved her! She's extremely understanding and will help you with whatever you need. Her class was my seminar, and I'm really glad it was. Very organized. I agree with previous comments about how some classes can be taken over by attention-seeking idiots, but she always tries to move the class forwards. best professor ever.

Dr. O'Connell is by far the best professor at Fordham. She's very intelligent and approachable and also enthusiastic about Theology. Even though I am not a Theology major and I had to take the class as part of core, it ended up being my favorite class. If you do the work, its easy to get a good grade!

Cares about her students and how they do with the material. There's a ton of reading and xtra work inc. 4/4 pg pps-if your ideas are well though out,you will get an A,and leave a better writer. Class can be easily overtaken by idiots who just want to hear themselves talk and argue, but what she brings in to discuss is always relevant and interesting.

This class is a joke. One she takes attendance...night students this will make her take mental points away. Too much material for people that have full-time lives. Inconsiderate and boring...she reminds me of a 5th grade teacher with no children and goes home to prepare assigment after assignment. disaster...take professor McPherson instead

I did learn a lot in her class, which is very interesting, but her class is impossibly hard, with waaaay too much work for a freshman core class. If you care about your GPA, don't take her. I'm not saying a deserved an A, don't know one person who recieved an A even when they completely deserved one.

Nice person. Terrible professor. Lets the same students dominate every discussion, assigns ridiculous amounts of work that she often supplements with more. Class is repetitive, insulting and argumentative; you learn nothing of value. Has her favorites with grading. She believes that hers is the most important class, and won't let you forget it.

I came into college knowing nothing about theology, and came out of her class knowing so much. She is a sensational professor..by far my favorite professor at Fordham. I having nothing negative to say about her.

The class has lots of readings and papers but as long as you keep up with it you will be fine. She is very smart and although I thought I was going to hate a theology course it ended up being one of my best classes this semester. She is strict about attendance and having the texts in class, but I would recommend taking her.

Very interesting approach to theology. Took a very ecumenical viewpoint of faith. Requires a lot of reading and three papers, but it is not a real problem. Wonderful professor.

I liked her, she's very knowledgeable. She made theology not as boring as it could be. However, her readings were tedious. I read most but it's hard to be on top of all the readings all the time. Her grading is fair though it tends toward the strict side. Overall I'd recommend her.

Yes, she gives a lot of work, only what should be expected in college though. If you want to learn something and are not just in school for the grade, I recommend her. She is quite approachable and interested in what all have to say, in or outside of class. One of the few professors that sincerely cares about her students.

I do NOT recommend her. She made an introductory theology class miserably tedious and difficult. She expects you to apply and use the readings in the papers she assigns, as if you are a theology major. It's sometimes hard to follow along in class. Her grading could be better. If you dont show up and actively participate, dont expect to do good.

She thinks that her class should be the main focus of our lives! Her workload is unberable....she gives like 100 pages each night. Couldn't stand her :(
