He's an interactive lecturer, so I keeps you awake. His slides are extremely colorful and in really big font which can be a good thing or really messy. He also helps online through a chat on learn@UW, so it makes asking questions easier. Overall a good professor.

Class is hard, but Doebley realizes that. Definitely keep up with the reading and the assigned problems, exam problems tend to be pretty similar to the daily problems.

Clear, engaging, helpful! With a dry subject matter, this prof was still able to get some laughs. Homework relevant to lecture, and exam questions often taken from it. He is clearly passionate about teaching as well as genetics - he wants all students to do well. Class is no cakewalk, but Doebley makes it as accessible as possible.
